October Scouts Weekly ✨
Bridger Schools Weekly Newsletter: Oct. 19th-24th
Superintendent/High School Principal Message
Dear Students and Families,
The end of the first quarter is Friday, October 23rd! We have Parent/Teacher conference night scheduled for the evenings of October 28th and 29th. Elementary students will receive specific schedules for your conferences. The high school teachers will be available both nights for parents to stop in. High school parents-please stop in to visit with our teachers!
I’ve come across posts on social media recently questioning why we still have parent/teacher conferences, in an era where grades are so readily available to parents through student information systems like Infinite Campus. With online gradebooks and instant access to student grades, parents have more information than ever about how their children are doing in school. However, grades only tell part of the story. Parent-teacher conferences provide an opportunity to look beyond the numbers and have meaningful conversations about student learning, growth, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Conferences also allow teachers and parents to share perspectives, ask questions, and better understand how to support each student's success. A grade might tell us how a student is performing, but a conversation can help us understand why and what steps can be taken to help them continue growing.
We encourage all parents to take advantage of parent-teacher conferences, regardless of how well their child is doing academically. These conversations aren't just for addressing concerns; they're also an opportunity to celebrate progress, strengthen relationships, and reinforce the partnership between home and school. When parents and teachers work together, students benefit.
Onward and Upward!

Principals Message
Scout Students and Families,
A reminder that we have PIR days coming up this Thursday and Friday, which means there will be no school for students.
These days are a great opportunity for our staff to learn, plan, and prepare, but they are also a good reminder for our students and families to take some time to slow down and recharge.
School can be busy, and everyone can benefit from a little time to rest, spend time with family, enjoy the outdoors, or simply take a break from the normal routine.
We hope everyone has a great couple of days and comes back Monday rested, recharged, and ready for a great week!
Enjoy the long weekend!
Go Scouts!
