🎶 Meet Ms. Adad, Vocal Music Teacher! 🎶
Music is just one of the many enrichment programs made possible through Compass Fund—programs that are not funded by LAUSD.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, Compass Fund supports Ms. Adad’s comprehensive music program, along with STEAM, Gardening, PE, community events, and important classroom & safety resources.
Your support helps give our students opportunities to create, explore, learn, and thrive beyond the traditional classroom!
Hello! I'm Isabella Adad, I’m a classically trained vocalist, singer/songwriter, and I also teach private voice and piano lessons. I’m so excited to continue sharing my passion for music with your wonderful scholars in my 3rd year of teaching at Balboa!
This year in my music class, your scholars will sing, learn proper singing technique, play instruments (namely ukulele), learn what written music looks like as well as how to perform it, and have fun playing musical games! I feel so fortunate to have seen many students grow in their musical skills over the years, and I strive to always encourage and help students gain confidence in both singing and playing instruments. My philosophy I share with your scholars is that the goal isn’t to get everything perfect, but to build skills to learn and grow as a musician in music class. I am looking forward to another great year at Balboa.
Thank you!

COMPASS Fund
Our COMPASS Fund drive is well underway. The Balboa Spirit Club relies on the thoughtfulness and generosity of our Balboa Family to deliver all of the amazing programs, enrichments, and events that make Balboa such a special place to grow. Please consider giving generously to support the BSC and our scholars.
More info and ways to contribute are available here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/compass-fund-2026--2027.
Please note, our payment processor, Zeffy, distributes 100% of your donation to the BSC. They do not charge us any base fees or credit card fees. When submitting your form, the site will ask about an optional contribution to Zeffy. This additional payment helps them cover their costs and expenses. It is an optional payment and is not considered tax deductible. Your support is appreciated.

All volunteers, new and returning, must complete an application each year (for each school). Please contact our Community Representative, Ms. Julie Shon, at julie.shon@lausd.net, should you need any assistance.
Thank you for supporting our school!
