We will begin Library Checkout Monday for grades K-4, our first A week!

Classroom teachers should have received Outlook calendar invitations confirming your checkout time. You can also find our scheduled linked below.

Classroom teachers are expected to stay with their classes during library time. Its a great way for teachers to suggest great reads to your students and learn about library offerings.

Katie and Erika would like to begin coming to some of your team meetings. We plan to come the week of September 9 to learn how we can support you this school year, as well as share a few ideas we have. Thank you!

On Monday, all classroom, SPED, and specials teachers should have received an email from Novel Effect about your login and account information. If you did not receive this or need help, please let Erika or Katie Canepa know.

If you are unfamiliar with Novel Effect, its a great way to engage your students with read alouds. The app provides what they call soundscapes, or sound effects, that go along with your picture books. The kids love it!

Want to get rid of ads or suggestions in YouTube?

Want your students to watch a YouTube video without all the extras?

Here's a trick:

When you copy the YouTube URL, place a dash in between the t and u so it looks like this:

All K-5 should have received 2 orange library passes in your mailboxes. We are asking that if you send students to the Media Center that they please bring one with them so we know they are supposed to be here. :)

If you would like additional passes, please let us know. Also, if SPED or Specials teachers would like one, we're happy to provide. Just let us know.

Interested in a fun morning work activity? Sign up for a time for Erika to come from 8:00-8:30 with button making!

Erika will bring the templates and button maker, but please provide the coloring tools for designing. Please use the sign up linked below or in the Wolf Den under Media & Specials. Please do NOT use Bookings for this activity. If you don't get on this sign up, we will offer this again in November and December.

You can now book Erika or Katie to visit your room to introduce / review Sora & ComicsPlus, CPS's main digital reading tools. If you class is already familiar with the apps, we can go into their more detailed features.

To reserve a time, please use our Bookings page and select Co-Teaching. In the details, please tell us what you and your class would like to focus on.

Do you need books in your classroom or for students in need? We've received a lot of donations lately but they are free for the taking. You can find these in the Media Center conference room.

1. The Classlink app has been updated on your ClearTouch. If you cannot login, please watch the video for directions and then contact us if it still does not work.

2. Are Chrome, Google, You Tube, etc. looking strange on your ClearTouch? You might be stuck on the mobile version. To switch to desktop:

• Open Chrome.
• Tap on the 3 dots in the upper right corner.
• Be sure "Desktop site" is checked.
• Below "Desktop site," tap on Settings.
• Scroll down and choose "Site Settings."
• Scroll down and toggle "Desktop site" to ON.

3. Sub Plan folder. The video instructions for putting Google Drive and your sub plan folder on your Clear Touch home screen are below.

4. Tired of the tapping sound on your Clear Touch keyboard? Only Latrel can turn it off. Put in a work order and he'll help you out!
