Bulldog Bulletin
Week of April 28th
You Belong Here
What a great couple of days before break! Around the World on Thursday night was another great success with so many countries represented. The variety of foods, clothing and traditions that families shared was a wonderful celebration of the Sanborn community.
On Friday, Andover Warrior Way High School student athletes joined us. We had a wonderful STEAM Challenge Students participated in grade-level egg drop challenges, culminating in a school-wide egg drop finale with Andover Fire Department.
The last day of school was voted on by the school committee on Thursday as well. It will be June 13th and students will be dismissed at 12:15. That also means that June 12th will be the Celebration of Learning for 5th Graders.
It is hard to believe we only have 34 days of school when we return tomorrow. There is so much happening in those 34 days!
Mood Meter Update
We will continue to explore the Mood Meter at Sanborn School. We are returning to words in the Green Quadrant, which represents high energy and high pleasantness. You can practice these words at home.
Kindergarten – patient
First Grade – thoughtful
Second Grade – accepted

Fourth Grade – connected
Fifth Grade – considerate

Last Call- April 30th Placement
The Sanborn administrative team will soon begin placing students for the 2025-2026 school year. Student placement is a thoughtful process that incorporates input from your child's current teacher, support staff, and administration to ensure balanced and compatible classrooms. We carefully consider many factors, including all available student data, to create the best possible learning environments.
Our placement process is designed to support both academic success and social-emotional well-being.
Please note: We do not accept parental requests for specific classroom assignments or teachers.
However, we value your insights and welcome any information that you feel is important for us to know, such as your child's learning style, academic needs, or compatibility with peers. Your input will be carefully considered as we make placement decisions.
To share your thoughts, please email placementsanborn@gmail.com no later than Wednesday, April 30th.
