🩸 High School Blood Drive Shows Off Students’ Character 🦅
Nixa High School regularly holds two blood drives each year to support the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. This time, more than 100 students and staff members signed up to give the gift of life to those in need.
Some students admitted they were a little apprehensive about donating blood, but they still wanted to step up and help their community. Members of the Student Council helped sign up donors in the weeks leading up to the event and volunteered on the day of the drive.
The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks awards a scholarship to schools that hold two blood drives in a year, and Nixa’s scholarship will be awarded to a senior on the Nixa Student Cabinet.
Thank you to all the students and staff who donated, volunteered, and showed what it means to care for others.
No school Tuesday, November 3, for Election Day & Staff Work Day. Classes resume on Wednesday.
As a reminder, the election is on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and the polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and some of our schools are polling locations. Please use caution around our buildings and plan accordingly for additional traffic.
Voters will be voting for the midterm, which encompasses a larger area than the city limits of Nixa. Since this election involves people living outside Nixa's city limits, we will have more traffic.

Claire Clark is our High School Artist of the Week 🎥
🎭 Claire Clark is our High School Artist of the Week, proudly sponsored by Rocco's Pizza of Nixa! 🎉
"Claire Clark has grown into such a confident performer and leader, and we couldn’t be prouder! Whether she’s shining onstage in Shrek, being an A+ dance tutor, or directing her peers in class, Claire brings kindness, humility, and hard work to everything she does. She has a special way of lifting up those around her, and we are so grateful she is part of Nixa Theatre!" - Dr. Allison Fleetwood, Nixa High School Theatre department head ⭐
"Four years ago, I never could’ve imagined the person I would become through theatre. I never knew I had this much confidence, passion, or love for something until I found it. Theatre helped me discover parts of myself I didn’t even know were there, and gave me a family I never knew I needed. It’s become such a big part of who I am, and when I look back at the person I was before theatre, I can’t help but feel grateful for everything it’s given me. I truly don’t know if I would be the same person today without it." - Claire Clark 🎥

Amelia Herron is Our Junior High School Artist of the Week 🎭
"Amelia is a fantastic theatre artist! She is joyful, kind, and passionate. Amelia spreads positivity and demonstrates focus and dedication throughout every rehearsal, class, and performance. Most importantly, she makes others feel included. Amelia shows others the power of community in the arts." - Ashlyn Elliott, Nixa junior high theatre teacher ⭐
"I love theatre because it means that everybody gets heard, it means that everybody is themselves and is happy when they finally get to the theatre room and can just relax. When I wake up in the morning, I get so excited to walk into the theatre room and be fun, spunky, myself, funny, and just happy. I hope as many people as possible can join the theatre and have the time of their lives." - Amelia Herron 🎥
