Model of Mercy
"We sense that Jesus and Mary are with us in the joys and sorrows of life. We grow in hope that God will bring us to share in the glory of Jesus and Mary forever."
Grow in Faith
Adult Confirmation
"Confirmation deepens our baptismal life that calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world. . . . We receive the message of faith in a deeper and more intensive manner with great emphasis given to the person of Jesus Christ, who asked the Father to give the Holy Spirit to the Church for building up the community in loving service."
~from the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults
Preparation for Adult Confirmation is starting soon! Adults (18+) will meet for six sessions to prepare to receive confirmation in February of 2025. Contact Morningstar in the parish office to register by November 1. (Photo credit: Christopher Wood)
Coats for Kids
Thank you to Knights of Columbus Council 1629 for providing coats to our neighbors. Coats were distributed to St. Francis House, Bella Smiles, Meeker Elementary, and Helping Hand House.
Fall Service Day
Thank you to all who helped beautify our campus in early October. We had volunteers ready the parish garden for winter, spruce up the ELC playground, and do some weeding and litter patrol on the rest of our parish campus.
Global Solidarity
Catholic Relief Services Chapter - Advocacy
Members of our Catholic Relief Services chapters across Washington State met with a staffer from Senator Cantwell's office on October 9 to advocate for Food for Peace funding in the Farm Bill. Are you interested in learning more about advocacy? Participation ranges from writing emails, submitting letters to the editor, and participating in virtual visits with our elected officials. Contact Morningstar in the parish office for more details.
