Inside Scoop
Hockinson High School - 2024-2025
October 10, 2025
Hello, Hawks:
I hope you're having a great in-service day! Many of our teachers are hard at work training for the transition to Google Classroom next year. These types of platform migrations are difficult and take a lot of time. We are thankful for the time and training to do this work.
This upcoming week, we have class meetings during Focus in the Commons:
- October 13: Grades 9 and 12
- October 15: Grades 10 and 11
Also this upcoming week, "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon" opens! Dates and ticket information are below.
Here is another big date - On October 21, ALL juniors will take the PSATs free of charge. I see this as an investment in our students to help show them they can do hard things. Many - if not ALL - professions have a barrier to entry in the form of an exam. The PSAT is quite literally practice for these moments. It has also shown many students that they have more potential than they realized or shown that them there is more they need to do to fulfill their goals. More information below.
Here's what you'll find in the Scoop:
- Financial Aid Info Night - Tuesday, October 14 5:30-6:30pm at HHS
- Counselor, College, and Career Information
- Yearbook Information for Seniors
- Class of 2026 Information
- PSAT Information for ALL Juniors
- Athletics (New Website)
- Athlete of the Week
- Senior Athlete Recognition
- NHS Halloween Hawk-or-Treat
- Theater Update
- AAA Booster Information
- Band Update
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at tim.fox@hocksd.org. Thank you for your support!
