Our students are nearing the end of Unit 1 within our Social Emotional Learning curriculum and to reinforce concepts, we will be hosting a school-wide assembly on Monday. We look forward to seeing our student leaders show us what they've learned. We will also be recognizing our hard workers across ELA and Math. Please wear your Fun Run t-shirt or class colors on Monday as part of our assembly.

Also, we just want to make everyone aware of our grand total for Fun Run 2024. Due to all of your amazing support, Hamilton raised $22,685!

Dreamcatcher Race

As of 2018, the money raised from the race is donated to a new scholarship available to Weymouth High School athletes. Student-athletes can now apply for the Dreamcatcher Scholarship and have their athletic user fees covered ($200 per sport). Last year, we were able to help out every student that applied, and we have distributed over $80,000 in scholarships to help student athletes! We also give two Julie Rodick Scholarships to WPS students upon graduating from Weymouth Public Schools. More information about the race here.

Bus Dismissal Feed

X (formerly Twitter) is having some issues, so we have moved to posting our bus dismissal times on Facebook. You do not need a Facebook account to see these posts. Please click here each afternoon to know when each bus has left Hamilton for the day.

Attendance Call Procedures

Please refer to our absence call procedure for when your child is not attending school.

Attendance Counts

Having students at school and on time daily is a major part of having a successful school year both academically and socially emotionally. Please send your child to school every day, unless they have any of the prohibited symptoms. Let us know how we can help if attendance is a concern for your family.

Lunch & Breakfast

Students may bring their lunch from home or choose from the daily menu. Breakfast will be grab and go and lunch will have hot and cold options. All students will have access to meals at no cost.

Bus Expectations

We want to remind families that riding the bus is a privilege and that safety for all students is extremely important. We will continue to review behavior expectations and adjust individual plans as necessary so that all students are having a safe and enjoyable transportation experience.

PAW Slips

Throughout the school day, students are being recognized for representing ROAR (Respect. Ownership. Achievement. Responsibility) by staff members when they are seen demonstrating these traits. Students are given a paw slip that explains what they were seen doing. This slip is given to the front office, and the student is given a sticker so the whole school community can see that a PAW was earned. Every Friday, random student PAW slips will be pulled so we can recognize students who have been ROARing across Hamilton. Be sure to ask your student how they are ROARing at home and school, particularly with our focus this month on helping others.

Afternoon Parking

As a reminder, if you will be using the playground while waiting for your child or staying past dismissal time for any reason, you need to be parking in the row closest to the swings. This is for the safety of all students as the other cars are released. Also, please be aware of the cones that are placed after dismissal so that Champions can utilize the outdoor space. Do not drive through this area when the cones are out.

Morning Drop Off

Please refer to our Morning Drop-Off procedure as a reminder of our protocol. You must stay in your car at all times. Please have your child(ren) exit only on the passenger side (moving car seats if necessary) and follow the vehicle in front of you as you exit.

Parent Council Parent Council

A large part of what makes our school community such a great place to be is the strong Parent Council organization. This is for every Hamilton parent to get involved in, whether on a small or large scale, working to bring experiences for our students that go above and beyond general school offerings.

Please consider lending a hand to this dedicated organization.

Monthly meetings are held via Zoom. Please join us whenever it fits in your schedule. No need to even turn your camera on! Each meeting we will discuss ongoing initiatives and upcoming events.
