Hines Mission and Vision
Mission: At Hines Elementary, it is our unwavering commitment to establish a safe and inclusive learning environment. Our students will feel loved, supported, and find joy in learning. ❤️
Vision: At Hines Elementary, we are committed to cultivating a vibrant and dynamic learning environment that ignites curiosity, fosters creativity, and celebrates student achievements. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for critical thinking that are essential for academic success and positive character growth. Through collaboration with families and the wider community, we strive to empower our students to reach their full potential and become responsible, compassionate, and engaged citizens.
A Note from Mrs. Mathe
This week, our 1st grade students had an exciting trip to Little Beakers before celebrating the end of their first-grade year at the park! Students came back full of excitement, sharing stories about making slime and snow and enjoying time playing with friends. Thank you to our PTO for supporting this field trip and to all of our parent volunteers who help make these wonderful opportunities possible for our students!
We are also incredibly proud of our GT students, who had the opportunity this week to showcase their year-long projects. Students worked hard researching, creating, and presenting their learning, and it was wonderful to see them confidently share their creativity and knowledge. We are so proud of all of their hard work and dedication throughout the year!
Today, we also celebrated our Heart of Hines winners! This award is given to one boy and one girl from each grade level who truly exemplify what it means to be a Hines Husky. These students consistently follow the Husky HOWL and demonstrate respect, responsibility, and positive character each day. Congratulations to all of our recipients!
This morning, we also crowned our new Rock, Paper, Scissors Challenge Champion — Callie Galo from 3rd grade! Congratulations to all of our class and grade-level winners. We had so much fun with this challenge and loved seeing students cheer each other on!
Next week is a busy one on campus! Please be sure to pay close attention to grade-level emails regarding check-in and student check-out procedures for end-of-year celebrations. Each grade level’s procedures may look a little different, so taking a few moments to review them will help us keep our Huskies safe and ensure an efficient process for everyone.

Student Spotlight
Student Spotlight is a dedicated section in The Hines Herald that celebrates the amazing achievements, acts of kindness, talents, and positive contributions of our Huskies both inside and outside of school.
This space recognizes students who are reaching personal goals, excelling in academics, athletics, or the arts, serving others, or making a meaningful difference in our community. Our students are accomplishing incredible things, and Student Spotlight is one way we proudly share and celebrate those moments.
Student Spotlight- Logan, Harper, Thea, Henry, Lucy and Juliana
Logan, Harper, Thea, Henry, Lucy, and Juliana did an amazing job in Class Act’s production of Annie last week! They sang, danced, and acted their hearts out, and we are so proud of their hard work and talent!
