In Self-Reflection Strategies for Students, Teachers, and Leaders, Dr. Ellis underscores a vital truth: Reflection is an expedition of personal and professional evolution. As you embark on your journey as a newer educator, embrace that the constant pursuit of improving student learning is a continuous process of growth for us all. The challenge of engaging your students can be powerfully navigated through thoughtful reflection. Welcome collaborative reflection with peers and invite your students into this process. Their insights will illuminate your path forward.

While many sessions are filling up, any sessions with low registration are subject to cancellation beginning May 19.

Whether it's professional learning or a gripping novel to spark new ideas, summer reading helps us grow, reflect, and return to the classroom inspired.

In addition to local campus libraries, you have access to Leander ISD’s online digital libraries, Sora and Gale. Borrow digital content such as ebooks and audiobooks anytime, anywhere via the

OverDrive/Sora virtual library. Put the Sora app on your mobile devices to access digital content on the go! (Sora login directions)

In the Gale Virtual Library, check out titles in the Self-Care & Inspiration collection like 180 Days for Self-Care for the Busy Educator, Shattering the Perfect Teacher Myth, along with other professional titles on various topics. (Gale Password found here)

Check out the professional learning calendar for next year. This year's calendar includes:

• continuation of half-day protected PLC time on professional learning days
• the opportunity to earn an exchange day for the the April 6, 2026 PL day through summer professional learning
• November 3 & 4 Continuous Improvement Conference (structure TBD, but session proposals are now being accepting!)
