"Encourage one another and build each other up ..."
1 Thessalonians 5:11
A huge congratulations to all Talent Show Participants this morning! What an amazing show! We have such a talented group of kids! Thank you for sharing your talents!
In Reading this week, read a folktale entitled Blancaflor, and identified the theme. In Math, we finished our topic on multiplying decimals and will have a test on Tuesday. The practice tests are coming home in the homework folder. The actual test will be about half the problems, but these practice tests are excellent study guides! In Social Studies, we are learning more about the colonies set up by early exploring countries! In Religion, we continue our dive into sacraments.
I have many missing assignments in Gradelink right now. Some are from absences. Please take a moment to log into Gradelink this weekend to see if your student has any missing assignments that need to get in!
Exciting news! We are quickly approaching our 800 point goal in Class Dojo! The class has decided they would like a read in day when we hit our goal, so stay tuned for more info!
Halloween
Halloween is next week, and we are celebrating in a big way! Students may come to school in their costumes, but please make sure they are appropriate - no weapons, excessive gore, or devils. A costume parade will follow morning assembly, and parents are welcome to hang out and watch! It's always fun to see the creative costumes! The 8th grade class will put on a carnival for the school from 11:00-12:00 pm. Wristbands will be sold for $10 each, and I can collect money in class to get the wristbands for the class. Wristbands ensure students are able to play all the carnival games. We will also be having a class party after recess. Thank you to our class moms for organizing!
