Hello BCE Community.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break. It was such a great time with family, friends, and relaxation.

We had a wet week, and lots of students have been out with a cold. Please remember to call the attendance line if your student is going to be out and leave a detailed phone message. Attendance is important, but we want to ensure our students are healthy.

I want to shout out to Maura Callahan and all the parent volunteers for doing a great job with the book fair right before the break. It was such a great success, and it wouldn't have happened without your support.

We have a lot of activities happening this month at BCE. Please make sure you are up to date with your classroom newsletters.

As always, please let us know if you need anything. Have a great weekend

Mrs. Fippin and Office Staff

It's that time of year again! The Valley Churches United Canned Food Drive has begun. Please send in your non-perishable donations to help support families in our community. This is a great opportunity for our children to discover the good feeling we receive when we do good things for others.

We have a school-wide goal of 1500 cans. If we can meet the goal we will have a hot chocolate and movie party in the MU on 12/22. Please help us reach our goal.

We thought we share a few online resources you might utilize at home. These are just ideas, but they are great ways to continue the practice at home during long breaks. Feel free to reach out to your teacher if you have particular things you would like your students to work on.

We were lucky to have Ecology Action here at BCE thisweek. All of our 2nd-grade classrooms took a walk around the community to learn the safety of streets. Our 5th graders had a bike rodeo here at school. Many brought their bikes, and Ecology Action had some to share. Students could learn how to ride on the road safely and have fun simultaneously. So excited we can have these fantastic patterns here at BCE.

Please see the email provided by the Superintendent this week. Emergency procedures were detailed, and the District webpage has been updated.

I wanted to ensure you got the information from the district office regarding General COVID information. Please contact the health office if you have any questions or need any home COVID tests. We have plenty in the office. I also want to ensure all families receive the General COVID exposure notice. Please let us know if you have any questions.

I wanted to share a resource from the CDE. It is a fantastic resource for free homework help and 1:1 virtual tutoring. Please visit the website and check it out.
