Welcome Back!
Career Center Campus
Welcome to our Career Center Campus!🏫
At the Career Center campus we strive to equip every student with the work ethic, communication skills, and the self esteem to be productive members of our community. We aim to engage students with relevant and applicable learning experiences that will lead to traditional credits, industry credentials and experiences that will lead to a successful career, college, technical or trade school experience. The four pillars of success are represent the values of our community and are embedded in everything we do on the Career Center Campus:
Be Prepared
Be Polite
Be Productive
Be Professional
Be Prepared – High school is full of meaningful opportunities, both academic and social. When an opportunity arises, we want students prepared to experience it fully. Arriving with the needed materials, being ready to learn, having a positive attitude and showing up everyday will ensure that you are prepared to enjoy all we have to offer at the Career Center Campus.
Be Polite – More often, how you do something is more important than what you do. At the Career Center Campus, we are polite to our peers, polite to our staff and polite to visitors. Being polite is a great way to make other people feel appreciated and comfortable around you.
Be Productive – Being productive means, “producing a significant amount or result.” You won’t pass a class or learn new skills if you don’t engage in it. When you are productive, you get more things done which opens doors for more opportunities. When you get more things done, you achieve more, have less stress and more time for self-care.
Be Professional - Being professional is being reliable, setting your own high standards, and showing that you care about every aspect of your time at the Career Center. It's about being industrious and organized, and holding yourself accountable for your thoughts, words and actions.
Let’s make this a great year!

Welcome Letter From Our Teacher Cadet/Early Childcare Program👋👶
Teacher Cadet
Early Childhood Professionals
A little bit about our learning world!
Teacher Cadet is a fast paced, innovative, hands-on curriculum where students gain knowledge about teaching and learning. Teacher Cadets will develop skills that are helpful in college and beyond, such as presentation, public speaking, writing, communication and reasoning. This course is designed to provide students with an in-depth look at the profession of teaching. Students study the growth and development of the learner, as well as the historical, social, political, philosophical, cultural, legal and economic forces that shape the United States public school system. Students experience the rewards of teaching through a “mini teaching” field experience as a part of the course work.
The Early Childhood Education Program (ECP) program is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway that offers students a leg up when looking for a job and continuing their education. The ECP program provides students with the opportunity to learn in a real classroom setting, working with Mesa County School preschoolers. ECP students will write, implement and lead a lesson plan for the kids. The pathway helps students explore early childhood professions. Our ECP students will be observing/interacting on a daily basis with preschool students. Our ECP students are truly able to take what they have learned in the classroom and apply it to real experiences where they learn how to meet the developmental needs and interests of young children in early childhood settings.
How can you help as a parent?
Continue to encourage your student to be a 4 P’s, polite, prepared, productive, professional when they enter the Career Center. In addition, the Career Center also has a no phone policy; please remind your students to put their phones in our cell phone basket until the end of the module. Read emails, and newsletters, and attend conferences, because it doesn’t work without you!
