We have a lot happening on the farm recently! We had an amazing show weekend with our AMIT show teams two weeks ago, Advanced camp started bright and early on the 19th! Advanced camp this year focused on barn management, training green ponies, jr. instructor course, equine nutrition and equine medicine; it was a fantastic week! This week summer is in full force, weather can be difficult this time of year, our goal is to always have our scheduled lessons. During questionable weather, we will be doing indoor equine education lessons. July we have our first of two day camps, if you still want to register please let Kara and I know! We have our Midnight Madness Jumper Show Extravaganza at the end of July. This is a fun twist to the Midnight Madness show we all love!
Our next exciting announcement is the return of IEA for the 2023-2024 school year. ;
IEA stands for the Interscholastic Equestrian Association. It is for riders 6th-12th grade, we ask that all of our riders be comfortable walk, trotting, and cantering as you compete on new animals that you have not ridden before. An IEA rider has the opportunity to develop competitive riding skills, make lasting memories, and further their riding ability in college and beyond.
With the IEA Evaluation rides being right around the corner, we would like to do an interest meeting for all riders and parents. This meeting will be for both current team riders and perspective team riders.
At this meeting we will go over how eval rides will run, the cost to ride in IEA, how to register (after eval rides are completed) and the cost it entails. We will also go over what is expected of both riders and their parents over the course of the season. You will be able to ask questions, hear from the coaches, as well as veteran parents and riders.
This Interest Meeting will take place on Monday July 3rd at 5:30pm. This will be when eval rides will occur on Monday July 10th.
If you are unsure if this is something you are eligible for please talk to your instructor, Ally, or the coaches: Leslie and Brianna.
