Bellevue Staff, Students, and Community,
The wait is over. Monday marks the start of the 2025–2026 school year! Our buildings are ready, our staff is energized, and we had a fantastic couple of days with our staff. Our students are about to bring our hallways back to life with their energy and a year full of possibilities.
This is more than just a first day, it’s the beginning of another chapter in the Bellevue story. Together, we will continue to set high expectations, support one another, and create a safe, welcoming environment for every student.
Let’s approach this year with positivity, teamwork, and the belief that every day is an opportunity to make a difference. Thank you for the part you play in making Bellevue a place where everyone can achieve excellence.

Construction update ( Elementary School PlayGround)
You may have noticed that the Village of Bellevue has been having some work done behind the elementary school. This has included equipment, vehicles, and workers in the area. This may continue during school hours. I have been assured that they will be completed by Monday.
Please know that student safety remains our top priority. All work areas will be secured, and school operations will continue as normal. We will take the necessary precautions to make sure our students are safe. We are making you aware in case you see additional activity near the playground or back field.

Great News!
Elementary:
- We just wrapped up our first professional development session for our brand-new reading curriculum.
- Our math coach, Ms. Fox, is returning this year, and we’re excited to welcome our new literacy coach, Ms. Turchan, to the team. Thank you to our ISD for always supporting us!
- It was wonderful to see so many new faces — staff introductions coming soon.
- With the implementation of Early Warning Indicators (EWIMS), our team increased its fidelity score by 22% in just one year!
- Our new classroom library books have arrived, and we can’t wait to bring these upgrades into our rooms.
- Registration was both busy and successful — thank you to our students and parents for attending, and to our staff who made the day possible.
- New teacher professional development went smoothly, and we’re pleased to have a new onboarding process and materials in place for our staff.
- Staff returned on August 12 for a full day of professional development — it was so good to have our hallways filling up again! We’re counting down the days until students return on Monday.
- We are still seeking presenters for the Countywide Professional Development Day in November. The deadline for session presenter forms is Monday, August 25. If interested, please contact Cortney and complete the presenter form.
- If you were not able to do the Professional Learning Feedback, please take the time to complete it. This will guide the PD and learning path for the remainder of the year. Your voice matters!
