Lyon Loop: March 2026 Newsletter
March 2026 Newsletter
Message from the Superintendent:
Dear LCSD Community,
As we welcome the month of March, I would like to take a moment to recognize an important celebration taking place across our district. March 2–6 marks Read Across America Week, a nationwide initiative that highlights the importance of literacy and inspires a lifelong love of reading in students of all ages.
Throughout this first week of March, many of our schools and classrooms are participating in special activities designed to promote reading and celebrate the joy that books bring to our lives. From themed spirit days and guest readers to classroom literacy projects and schoolwide events, it is encouraging to see the enthusiasm and creativity of our staff and students as they come together around the shared goal of strengthening literacy.
Reading is foundational to academic success and personal growth. It opens doors to new ideas, fosters critical thinking, and empowers students to explore the world beyond their immediate surroundings. By prioritizing literacy and encouraging daily reading habits, we equip our students with the skills and confidence they need to thrive both in school and in life.
Thank you for your continued partnership and dedication to supporting student learning. I encourage all members of our community to join us in celebrating Read Across America Week and to take time this month to enjoy a good book.
Warm regards,
Tim Logan
Superintendent
