WMS LEADERSHIP TEAM
Campus Admin ~ Ann Flanagan
As we wrap up another exciting week at school, we want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude and excitement. We are incredibly thankful for our outstanding teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. Their dedication, patience, creativity, and care make a lasting impact on our students every single day. We are fortunate to have such passionate educators who help our middle school community thrive.
We also enjoyed an unexpected bit of fun with this week’s snow day! While Colorado weather always keeps us guessing, we hope students and families had a chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy the change of pace.
As we move through the final weeks of the school year, there is a growing sense of excitement for summer. We look forward to finishing the year strong, celebrating student accomplishments, and making the most of the time we have together before summer break begins.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Have a wonderful weekend!
PTCO Shout Out
A huge thank you to our PTCO Hospitality Team for spoiling our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so grateful for the incredible support from our community and all you do to take care of our staff. We truly appreciate the partnership we have with our families and feel so lucky to support and care for your students each day!
A special shoutout to Kasey, Kathy, and Blair for being at WMS all week setting everything up — we see you, and we appreciate you!
School Accountability Committee (SAC) Board
We are currently seeking interested guardians and community members to join our School Accountability Committee (SAC) Board for the 2026–2027 school year.
The SAC is a collaborative group that meets quarterly to support our school by sharing input on budget priorities, the Unified Improvement Plan (UIP), family engagement, and student learning.
If you are interested in being part of this important work and helping shape the continued growth of West, please complete the interest form here: SAC Board
We value your voice and partnership!

Please save the date and plan to join us for this meaningful celebration!
We look forward to celebrating with you and your Wildcat.
SAFETY REMINDER
Dear West Community,
As e-bikes and other electric vehicles become more common among students, we want to share a quick reminder about safety expectations and local regulations in Greenwood Village.
- Not all e-bikes are the same—some are not allowed on sidewalks or trails.
- Riders under 18 are required to wear a helmet.
- Higher-powered vehicles (over 750 watts) require a license, registration, and insurance.
- The speed limit on paths and trails is 15 MPH.
Please take a moment to review the attached flyer with your student for full details.
Thank you for helping keep our students safe!
CLINIC
End of the Year Medication Pick Up: If your student has medication in the WMS clinic you will receive messages to make plans to pick up medication prior to the end of the school year. At the time of pickup, we will provide a blank copy of the medication consent form, allergy action plan, asthma action plan, etc. Best practice is for these to be completed each school year. Forms are also available on CCSD Health Services Website https://www.cherrycreekschools.org/programs-and-services/office-of-student-health/office-of-student-health/health-services
Immunizations for Next School Year:
Be prepared to provide a record of your student's vaccines for the 26/27 school year. See the table below for the requirements for students attending a K-12 school. Please note that the Tdap requirement has been shifted to 7th grade (previously 6th).

Transportation is required by CDE Regulations to account for all students on the bus and unauthorized passengers are not permitted. However, the Transportation Department recognizes that circumstances may arise, e.g. a family emergency, parents out of town, etc., when a student needs to ride home with another student on a one-time only basis. The student must get off at the assigned stop of the student they are riding with (no exceptions).
Make sure to fill out and turn in the linked Permission Slip to the Campus Admins office no later than 9:00 AM on the requested ride date. Forms can be printed and handed to the Campus Admins Assistant. Hard copies of the form can be picked up from the Campus Admins office if they are needed but must be picked up prior to the day they need to ride a different bus. No emails will be accepted. 2026 Field Hockey Summer Camp
The below is all stated in the registration form, however for ease of reference I have included it below! **Please note any lifting opportunities will be decided in a few months. That registration will be separate as we navigate construction and availability.
These High School Summer Camps are open to rising Freshman through returning Seniors. We are looking to build our fitness, get touches on the ball and continue to grow our team success. The program includes ten 2-hour training sessions. These sessions will focus on fitness first and lead into individual skills, small group play and larger scrimmages depending on the day.
