Cohort Update Thanksgiving -2022-
"History in the Making" (11/23/20)
Why I am Thankful to be your Cohort Dean...
I wanted to take a few lines and explain to each of you why I am grateful to be at WCHS serving each of you as the cohort Administrator. There are many occupations that attempted to grab me and whisk me down my professional path, but none would have been as fulfilling as working with the students of WCHS! Through my years in Warren I have learned some invaluable lessons. I have learned to be flexible when I wanted to do things my way. I have learned to seek understanding when I thought I was clear in what needed to be done. I have learned to listen when I assumed I already had the perfect answer. But, most importantly, I have learned that no matter how impressed I am with what I have accomplished or done...it's not about me. It's about US and what WE can accomplish as ONE TEAM! So thank you team for helping me along this path of life and through my professional journey. It is definitely far from over. But, if we all take a minute or two to reflect on how each of us can make each of us better, love the person next to us for who they are and push each other to be the best that we can be...what an awesome team we can continue growing into. Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving break and I look forward to finishing this semester like the WCHS Warriors that WE are!
Much Love,
Mr. Russell - Cohort Dean

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT WORK PERMITS- If you are in need of a work permit you can get those in the Walker Career Center office or the cohort office on side B. You will receive a yellow card and a white "Intent to Employ" form. Be sure to fill out each form completely and return both to the cohort office to be reviewed by Mr. Russell. The Intent to Employ form must be signed by the employer, student and a parent or legal guardian. After Mr. Russell approves and signs your work permit forms, you will then turn them in to the WCC office before or after school to receive your completed work permit. Finally, you are eligible to work and earn a paycheck! Be sure to save a little bit as well for a rainy day...lol.
Thank you class of 2022
