As we wrap up second trimester this week, and transition into our final trimester of the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on something just as important as academics—our students and their friendships. Lately, we’ve seen an increase in social media activity that is having an impact on the school day. At this developmental stage, students are not only learning how to navigate relationships and the world around them but also how to manage their presence online. It is becoming more and more evident to me how much our students need adult guidance as they navigate social media. We really appreciate any support from our families, as our partnership in helping them make safe, responsible choices—both in school and online—is invaluable. Thank you for your continued support!

Trimester Change: Thank you for an awesome second semester! This Wednesday we will start Trimester 3. Students can check Aspen for their new UA rotation and will receive Seminar in homeroom on Wednesday.

Thank You MRHS! We were so lucky to be able to take the whole school up to the high school last week for an amazing performance of Mamma Mia. Thanks to all the high school students and our own MRMS students for being a lovely crowd.

Spirit Week: Thank you to our Shells Buddies Seminar for hosting our annual March Spirit week! See "What's Happening" above to participate!

Arrivals After 8:45: Students who arrive after 8:45, should be dropped at the front door and need to sign into the office. We will be closing the side doors at 8:45 in the mornings to help make our morning routine smoother. Thanks!

Cape Media: Congrats to 5th Graders Alex, Teagan, Kiara, and Aiden who were selected to read their poems at Cape Media this week. Please see the video of our poets below.

Clubs Update and Open Gym: Our Spring Club offerings will be emailed directly to you. The Spring season will begin on 3/31 to run to 6/13. During the interim between clubs, we will offer Open Gym with Mr. Webster on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Lacrosse club will continue to run during the interim on Wednesday mornings.

Spring Sports Registration is Open! Please visit Arbiter Sports to get your students signed up for Spring tryouts. MRMS Spring Sports include baseball, softball, tennis, track, and golf.

Facilities Projects and Reports: Please visit the Monomoy School District's website for more information on all facilities related information including facilities testing, updates on the siding and roof project, information on the middle school building committee, and presentations.
