Happy Holidays Feeney Families!
Greetings Feeney Families and Friends,
Thank you for your generosity and kindness all week - our staff enjoyed the many, many treats and expressed their gratitude to all of you. We hope you enjoy a joyful and festive holiday season with loved ones and look forward to our continued learning in January of 2024.
Warm wishes,
Julie
Helpful Information When Your Child Returns from Winter Break
We understand that next week kids will be out o f their "typical" routines of school. If you are traveling or doing other things that may impact your child as they return to school, I strongly encourage you to share that with your child's teacher. Having information such as they were in different time zone, on a flight, stayed with grandparents, etc. helps us better support your child as they transition back into the routine of school. Thank you for your support.
A reminder when entering and exiting the DFP and Elm Street
Please drive slowly when entering and exiting school grounds. Adults and children are continuously in the parking lots, sidewalks, and other areas. Use caution and please keep this in mind. This includes being hands-free if using a device. Thank you in advance for keeping everyone safe.
The Second Annual DFP Carnival Sunday, March 10
Save the date! Our second annual DFP carnival is set for Sunday, March 10 from 1-3. Our PAC is actively planning this event and we need your help! Please consider attending our next PAC meeting for more information.
The Application Window for the 2024-2025 School Year is Closed
Preschool Notification for 2024-2025 School Year
We are no longer accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year.
Families will be notified in late January as to their child's placement at DFP for the 2024-2025 school year. At this time, programming for the fall will be as currently constructed. Should there be program changes, families will be notified as soon as possible.
Winter is here, please be sure to dress appropriately
As temperatures continue to fall, a reminder to please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the outdoors. This includes warm coats, hats and mittens (it is far easier and faster to cover two hands rather than 10 fingers) AND footwear. Also make sure clothing items are labeled. Thank you!
We will go outside unless the air temperature is below 20 degrees
WPS Illness Protocol
WPS Food Policy
Per the WPS food policy, outside food cannot be shared in the classroom. This is for health and safety reasons (i.e. food allergies). Therefore if there is a birthday, holiday, etc. please do not send food in to be shared - but thank you for the sentiment!
