As the weather warms and students spend more time outdoors, it's important to be mindful of ticks. Ticks are commonly found in grassy, wooded, or brush-filled areas and can attach to skin or clothing. We encourage families to check children for ticks after they’ve been outside and to remind them to stay on clear paths when possible. Wearing light-colored clothing can help spot ticks more easily. If a tick is found, prompt removal is key- please see the attached visual for directions. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and healthy during this active season!
May is Mental Health Month!
May is mental health awareness month, a time to recognize the importance of mental well-being for all! As we approach the end of this school year, it’s a time to reflect on the progress we’ve made and the incredible work we’ve done together to support our students’ growth, both academically and emotionally. Belonging and wellness have been at the heart of our efforts, ensuring that every student, staff member, and family feels valued and supported. As we close out the school year, it’s important to continue fostering this sense of community and connection. Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. It's okay to not be okay, and it's important to reach out for help when you need it.
Celebrating Belonging and Wellness:
Throughout the year, we’ve strived to create an environment where everyone feels like they belong. Whether through Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs, school-wide initiatives, or individual support, we’ve worked together to nurture a culture of kindness, empathy, and respect. These efforts don’t end with the school year—our commitment to belonging and wellness continues through the year.
