Tennis 19-20 School Year

BMS will be offering tennis as a PE option.

Students are not allowed to take athletics and PE tennis at the same time. If your student would like to play tennis as well as other athletic sports, they will need to stay in athletics class period and join the tennis team for their practices after school throughout the school year. Students can choose the class as an elective and it will count as their PE credit.

If they would like to change one of their current electives, including regular PE for the 2019-20 school year to be in PE tennis, please email the counselor at kari.carranza@edu.forneyisd.net. Let her know your student's name and what elective they would like to drop. Changes are due by May 3, Friday.

Students will need to have a physical. NF Sports Medicine is providing assistance with physicals. Additional information is in this newsletter.

Lady Bears Soccer

Lady bears strike again!!!! Continuing on our winning streak the lady bears show that hard work and commitment to team work pays off.

7th grade showed up today with a big win over Terrell. The lady bears put 5 in the back of the net! Goals scored by Allison Bratz, Kayla Talkington, Rylee Gray, and two by Ellen Van Caenegem. Assists go to Amber Turk, Ellen Van Caenegem, and Rylee Gray! ShyAnn Reyna commanded the defense with the help of Khloe Crawford and didn’t let Terrell get any offense going. Ellen was a crucial part to our success by playing through balls and putting some goals in the back of the net. Our whole 7th grade team put in effort and it showed with the big win. Kassidy Weaver and Brandi Kea share the shutout win in goal.

The 8th grade lady bears game out strong and received another tie. The lady bear defense was unstoppable and they worked together so well. Katrice Blakely, Haley Pereyda, Serenity Petrikat, and Penelopi Wisaetchok were the defenders that didn’t let Terrell even take 1 shot. Zoe Quinn played amazing in goal stepping out to collect all the balls in her box! Mia Perez, Caley Dijkman, and Marissa Ortiz really showed their skill tonight and had many opportunities to score. Haley Pereyda stepped up big tonight with some beautiful corner and free kicks. Her kicks has us holding our breathe waiting for them to drop in the back of the net. This was the BEST our ladies have played by far.

Cannot wait for Thursday to play against Kaufman and put two W’s on our record. Great work ladies. You ALL make us proud. Coach Karolevitz
