GREAT NEWS from around the District
Elementary:
- Thank you to Scot Higgins and the grounds crew who worked hard to blow all of our fallen leaves into the biggest pile possible, creating the perfect spot for our students to celebrate their respectful behavior.
- A group of our students recently completed our building-wide Random Acts of Caring Challenge by showing our bus drivers how much they are appreciated! This is just one wonderful example of how our students are making a positive impact in our school community.
- Our fall data profile is in, and we are excited to share the results of the hard work and collaboration happening across our building! We are so proud of our team and students.
Jr/Sr:
- We continue to celebrate our students for meeting attendance goals. Ask your student about the Bronco Stampede goals to see how they can celebrate.
- We were privileged to welcome Mr. VanAuken from University of Olivet to our Art Appreciation class! Mr. VanAuken is a Bellevue Bronco Alumni and he took the time to share some hands-on printmaking demonstration and talked about some amazing opportunities at The University of Olivet.
- Weekly, we draw tickets from our PBIS raffle bins that students work on filling by being recognized for meeting expectations at different moments throughout the week. This is a fun way to recognize students doing well.
- A couple of our health classes just completed the course for CPR training. Congratulations!
- A heartfelt thank you to the Bellevue Children's Theatre for the amazing performance. We notice the hard work that went into this production and want to say we appreciate the opportunity for our students.
- We planned, participated, and presented at the first-ever Calhoun County Professional Development Day! Hosted at Harper Creek, the event featured 117 sessions and welcomed over 1,060 educators from across the county — all coming together to learn, collaborate, and grow.
Bellevue Staff and Community,
What a great week it’s been around Bellevue! There’s a lot of positive energy in our buildings right now, and it’s showing in the classrooms, on the stage, and in all the activities our students are taking part in.
It’s hard to believe we’re just seven school days away from Thanksgiving Break. The next couple of weeks always seem to fly by, but they’re full of moments that remind us why we do what we do: students learning, creating, and growing.
Thank you to our staff for maintaining a strong focus and keeping the atmosphere upbeat as we head into the holiday season. And thank you to our families and community for your constant support. It truly makes a difference.
Let’s finish strong, enjoy the excitement leading into the break, and take a moment to be thankful for this great Bellevue community we get to be a part of.
Have an awesome weekend!
Eric McCalla
