The Central Family Support Center does all of this, plus newcomer support, pediatric health services, CCSD registration and application support, and special events such as vaccine clinics, workshops, and more. FAFSA Workshop
Paying for college doesn’t have to be stressful. The Fulfillment Fundamentals will be available to students and parents focused on completing their FAFSA application, providing personalized, step-by-step guidance and answering all their questions.

It is Time to Apply for CCSD Magnet Programs!
If your child has a specialized interest, such as STEM, art, business, law, technology, medical sciences, or leadership, they may benefit from attending a CCSD magnet school. Magnet schools provide a more focused curriculum and can prepare students for a brilliant future! For more information, attend our Magnet Schools Parent Workshop, where we'll cover what a magnet school is, available program types, the application process, transportation, and more. Applications open October 5, 2026.

Mindfulness Matters

Wednesday Food Distribution
FREE FOOD every Wednesday! The Center partners with Three Square to provide food distribution to those in need every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Don't forget to bring your reusable bags!

Monthly Food Distribtuion in North Las Vegas
Join Nevada Partners and Three Square for a FREE FOOD distribution on the second Thursday of every month at 11:00 a.m.! Their Lake Mead location is right off the 15, just past D St.

For Elementary and Middle School Students
Does your elementary or middle schooler need a little extra help with their homework? Check out the CCSD Academic Support and Community Service Center! They offer licensed teachers who can provide assistance with math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. No appointment is required, and they're open Monday through Friday during the school year!

For High School Students
The CCSD Academic Support and Community Service Center offers academic assistance for high school students Monday through Friday during the academic year. They have licensed teachers on staff! No appointment is required, so if your high schooler needs help with science, algebra I or II, geometry, pre-calculus, or end of semester tests, head down! They even offer prep courses for the ACT and SAT.

CCSD Family Career Connections
At the CCSD Family Career Connections event on Thursday, October 15, at Ullom Elementary School, you can apply for open positions within CCSD and learn how to build a strong resume that's tailored to the district. Explore flexible schedules and learn more about the comprehensive benefits that CCSD offers, including the NV PERS retirement plan. College Fairs!
Is your high school student looking at colleges? The 2026 Southern Nevada College Fairs are happening October 11-15 at schools throughout the valley! Whether your student is looking to stay nearby or strike out to find new adventures, college is a formative time in a young person's life. Come see what's out there!

Nevada Homeless Alliance Family Connect
Come check out the free giveaways and resources at the next Family Connect event! There will be Title I and HOPE enrollment, housing assessments, employment and food pantry resources, medical insurance and mental health assistance, food, and more! No registration is required!

Be My Neighbor Day
Celebrate being a caring neighbor at Be My Neighbor Day, a free event sponsored by Vegas PBS. Free Legal Aid Classes
The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada is offering FREE legal aid courses. Dive into a supportive learning environment where you can explore important topics like divorce and paternity, guardianship, small claims court, eviction, criminal record sealing, bankruptcy, custody, and more. With some classes available online, accessing expert guidance has never been easier. If you're representing yourself in court, this is your chance to gain insights from dedicated legal professionals. Is your pre-K child hitting all of their developmental milestones? If you're not sure that your future student is on track, check out Child Find. Child Find provides assistance for students who may be experiencing speech, language, or cognitive delays. See their flyer for details!
