Dear Families,

The first marking period has come to a close, and we begin the second with new opportunities for growth, learning, and achievement. November also provides us with an opportunity to pause and recognize Veterans Day on November 11th. We are grateful to all those who have served and continue to serve our country, and we thank them for their dedication and sacrifice. I also look forward to welcoming families to Parent-Teacher Conferences, which provide a valuable opportunity to connect, celebrate student successes, and work together to support each student's continued growth.

As Thanksgiving approaches, I hope everyone has an opportunity to slow down, spend time with family and friends, and reflect on the many things for which we are grateful. I am especially thankful for the students, families, faculty, and staff who make up our SHS community. Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

With Wildcat Pride,

Mr. Anthony T. Hibbert, Principal

Class of 2027
zoom_out_map

Class of 2027 Students, Parents, and Guardians:

Before we know it, the Class of 2027 will be walking across the turf to receive their diplomas. Over the next seven months, seniors will be participating in numerous events to celebrate this momentous occasion. As the class advisors, we want to be sure you are prepared for the activities to come. Please read through the information below and mark your calendars. There are also plenty of opportunities to get involved now.

As always, if you have questions, please reach out to your class advisors, Mrs. Tierney or Ms. Candia-Bovi (jtierney@suffield.org and kcandiabovi@suffield.org).

Dues:

Class dues are $50.00 per year. Class dues cover the cost of Senior Outing, Yearbooks, Caps and Gowns, Rehearsal Pizza, and they help reduce the cost of other Senior events. You may submit your dues online via this Square Link or bring cash/check (payable to “Suffield High School”) to the Main Office. Please check your balance due in PowerSchool. At this time, approximately 50% of class dues have been paid. (Please note that there is a delay between when dues are paid in PowerSchool and when they are reflected on our balance sheet. If you recently paid your dues, thank you.) While we understand the financial commitment, the collection of dues is necessary for our budgeting purposes. It also allows us to pay deposits for Senior events in a timely manner. Furthermore, the collection of dues helps to offset the costs of many events, including prom, Senior Outing, and Senior Banquet. For these reasons, we ask that you pay Senior dues, and any outstanding dues from prior years, immediately, so we can budget responsibly. Receiving dues today will ensure that the allocated costs for all activities are as low as possible, as dues help offset costs. Please note that all dues must be paid in order to participate in any senior activities and graduation, so we hope you pay them today.

Senior Slideshow:

Every year, the graduating class compiles a slideshow to celebrate the senior class. We need your help. Please submit photos of your child(ren) to include in the slideshow. We are especially interested in group photos, photos documenting momentous occasions K-12, and ensuring that EVERY senior is documented. Please add your photos here. Events to document may include:

● Kindergarten Circus

● 8th Grade Class Night

● Sports senior nights

● Suffield on the Green

● Awards Nights

Senior Sweatshirts:

Senior Sweatshirts have been delivered! At this time we have a very limited number of extra sweatshirts if anyone would like one. The cost is $50.

Trivia Night: We need your help!

Our class sponsored Trivia Night is Saturday, February 6, 2027. Please mark your calendars and invite friends and family to participate. Teams of 6-8 players will compete, head to head, to answer questions from a number of topics. Tickets will become available in the new year. The first step in planning this amazing night is putting together a raffle table. Last year, our raffle raised significant funds for our class. Can you help? Do you have something to donate - Red Sox or Patriots tickets, a weekend away, or a handmade craft? Cash donations are also greatly appreciated. Cash donations will be used to purchase raffle items. Click here to let us know and a member of our Class Council will contact you soon to arrange pick up.

Senior Events during 26/27:

● Prom - Friday, May 21, 2027: Twin Hills Country Club.

● Senior Scholarship and Awards Night - Suffield High School Auditorium. This is an invitation only event. Invitations will be sent directly to students in the early Spring.

● Senior Outing - Wednesday, June 2, 2027 at Brownstone Adventure Park.

● Senior Banquet - Tuesday, June 8, 2027 at Crestview Country Club.

● Graduation - Saturday, June 12, 2027. Suffield High School Turf Field 9:30 AM (Rain Date TBD)
