Message from Mr. Tejkl

What do you want to accomplish?

IT IS HERE!!!!!!!!! That was probably a few too many exclamation points but I can not tell you how much I am looking forward to seeing my entire staff and our students enter our building this week! As a dad, I am anxious for my boys entering a new school but I know they are in good hands. As we touched on last week, we have the power of choosing our attitude each day and it will be a great year for all of our students, staff and our communities.

What is your WHY? It is one of those questions that may come up here and there but it should be one that sets the course on what you are doing. If you have a why, your purpose is more clear. We can ask ourselves this question each day and it is something that should get you out of bed each morning with an urgency to do better for those around you. I love my career and I have a passion to make each day special for those I encounter. My purpose is to lead others to believing in themselves to not only push those around them but also realize they are great within.

What is you why? Do you have a why and a reason on why you attend school? How about your why with your family and your own children? What do you want to be remembered for? When you know your why, your purpose become clear and the things you accomplish are more than for yourself. Continue to push yourselves to greater heights while lending a hand to help those reach their potential as well. Have a great week!

Quote of the week to make you think:

"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do." Mark Twain

Sincerely,

Tucker Tejkl

They always want to stay out of the press but we have great donors and sponsors for S-RC! We had two groups donate to our teachers for inservice meals and we are grateful for their thoughts and donations! We look forward to working with all of our community members!

Elementary teachers looking for donors for awesome books for our students!

It’s that time of year again! Back to school is here and I couldn’t be more excited!

This year we are trying something new in their classrooms. They are looking for book sponsors!

By being a book sponsor, you will allow me to put a book in the hands of each student in my classroom! I can’t wait to watch their expressions every time they received a book of their very own to KEEP!

Sponsors are asked to donate $20 which will allow teachers to buy a book for each student each month August-May!

We will post class pictures each month so you can share in the joy that we will feel as we open our monthly Scholastic boxes!

Thank you so much for considering sponsoring a child in my classroom and fostering the love of reading at Shelby-Rising City! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Thompson!
