Principal Message
Happy March! A few reminders for the week:
~ Title I Math & Reading Night was a SMASHING success!!! We had so many kids and families--thank you for helping to make the night so successful! Special thanks to all the Washington staff, the student leaders, and all the volunteers for making it such an amazing event!!
~ Make Someone's Day is tomorrow, March 6. See the flyer below to see how your child's class is participating and what to wear!
~ Conferences: March is the month we come together for spring conferences (and we have a book fair, too!). Conferences will be held from 3:30-8:00 on March 23, 24, & 26. The conference sign up link will be coming to you next Monday, March 9th.
~ Conference Teacher Meals: The PTO is in need of beverage and dessert donations for teacher meals at conferences. This would be a GREAT way to support teachers and be involved in the PTO, so please consider a donation. Maybe you make a dessert that everyone raves about and want to share, or perhaps you're really busy and just want to donate some 12-packs of pop or sparkling water? Please consider signing up--all the details can be found here.
~ March PTO Meeting Monday, March 9 at 6:00pm in the Washington Media Center. Please enter through door #1. Child care will be provided, and you can join virtually if that works better for you using this link.
~ OKAY Campaign: How's it going? So far, we have had almost 100 students turn in the at-home OKAY card. YAHOO!!!! It's not too late to turn this in!
~Early Release is Wednesday, March 11. Please fill out this google form so staff knows where your child(ren) should go when the school day ends at 12:30.
~ NO School on Thursday, March 19 (teacher PD day and conference prep day) OR Friday, March 20 (EID).
Thanks for always being so supportive of our work! You make being the principal of this great place a JOY!
