SRO Appreciation Day
Today, we celebrate School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! We are grateful for the dedication, care, and protection our SRO brings to our campus each day. A special thank you to Deputy Obi for the positive relationships you build with our students, the support you provide to staff, and the steady presence that helps keep our school safe. Your commitment to our Warrior community does not go unnoticed, and we appreciate all that you do for us.
Yearbook Orders
Parents, this is your last chance to guarantee your student is able to purchase a yearbook. February 20th is the last day that yearbooks can be reserved. Use this link to order your yearbook online. Students can also bring $35 to the media center to order their yearbook. Yearbooks will be distributed in May.
Love the Bus Week
The school bus is the safest way for students to get to and from school, and our drivers work hard every day to provide a safe, reliable, and efficient ride for every student, every mile, every day.
February 16–20 is Love the Bus Week, and we encourage parents and students to take time to recognize and thank your bus drivers. A simple note, gift, or small gesture of appreciation goes a long way in letting drivers know their work is valued.
Advanced Learning in High School
Help us shape your child’s future roadmap!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
In middle school, students begin to discover their unique strengths and interests. To support this growth, we use Career Development Plans (CDPs)—a roadmap that helps students connect what they learn in the classroom to their future possibilities.
Whether your child dreams of being an engineer, an artist, or isn’t quite sure yet, we want to ensure you feel like a partner in this process.
Could you spare 3 minutes? We’ve put together a brief survey to better understand your familiarity with these plans and how we can best support your family. Your feedback will directly influence the resources and workshops we provide this coming year.
Parent Questionnaire Link
Our goal isn't to have students "pick a job" today, but to give them the confidence and direction they need as they head toward high school.
Thank you for your time and for everything you do to support your child's journey!

7th Grade Vision Screening
7th Grade Parents: Our annual vision screening will be held on March 11th for 7th grade students. School nurses from across the county will be administering the screening, free of cost to any student who turns in their permission forms. Be on the lookout for the forms as they will be sent home this coming week. The homeroom that turns in the most permission forms will receive a doughnut party.
8th Grade Dollywood Trip
Students received information and permission slips last week for the upcoming Dollywood trip. We hope all of our 8th grade students are able to attend!
Trip Schedule:
Students will depart CAEMS at 8:20am (snacks provided on the bus) and enjoy Dollywood in groups throughout the day with lunch tokens included. The group will stop at Buc-ee’s for dinner/snacks before returning to CAEMS around 8:00pm for parent pick-up at the front of the school.
Cost & Payments:
The cost is $80 and includes park admission, lunch, bus snacks, and a custom t-shirt. Dollywood Season Pass holders pay $35. Payment is due by May 13 and may be made in one full payment or in installments. Refunds are available in full through March 26, 50% through May 13, and none after that date.
Student Expectations:
To participate, students must pass at least 4 of 6 classes for the 3rd grading period, complete all EOG testing, and maintain appropriate behavior (no OSS and no more than 2 days of ISS in semester 2). Students will travel in groups, check in regularly with chaperones, follow park rules, and are responsible for their personal belongings. Students should wear their trip t-shirt and comfortable walking shoes and may bring a phone, sunscreen, and money for snacks, souvenirs, or dinner at Buc-ee’s.
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities:
Parents must submit payment, sign and return the permission slip and contract, and arrange pick-up at 8:00pm. If your child needs medication during the trip, please contact the school nurse in advance.
Important Dates:
Permission slips, forms, and full payment are due to homeroom teachers by April 3. Students must also complete EOG testing on May 29, June 1, and June 3 to attend.
