Mariners,

The end of the year is here! We are excited about all the wonderful end-of-the-year events coming up this month. In guidance, we will be focusing on post-secondary planning and career readiness by going over the transition to the next grade level.

Thank you for your support this school year. We appreciate your attendance at our counselor coffees, PTA programs, and special events. You are your child’s first teacher and giving your time to be involved with our school events is a great way to communicate to your child that school is important! We wish you a safe and happy summer. See you next year.

Summer Learning Loss

We know that students can lose some of the knowledge they gained this year in school if they do nothing academic over the summer. Keep your children busy this summer! Make sure they read every day, allow them to help in the kitchen (cooking helps reinforce math skills), take them shopping, and let them follow a budget. Below are some summer resources and activities available in San Antonio.

Northside Independent School District - Community Education

Registration for After School Programs will open on September 2, 2023. Please note that parents will not be allowed in ANY after-school programs. All participants will be brought to the front of the school for curbside pickup once a program finishes.

The San Antonio Food Bank is here to help! They provide assistance with SNAP and other benefits, as well as finding immediate food assistance and job training opportunities.

Northside Threads

Northside Threads is a clothing closet that is housed at the Northside Family Engagement Center which is a State and Federal Program. It exists to support Northside families and provide clothing to students enrolled in Northside schools. You will be able to receive clothes once in the fall and once in the spring.
