January Weekly Update
Week of Monday, January 19th - Friday, January 23rd, 2026
🤲 Our weekly chapel focus
Colossians 3:1–4 Summary:
Paul reminds us that because we have been raised with Christ, our lives are now anchored in Him and His Kingdom. We are called to set our hearts and minds on Jesus—not the temporary things of this world—because what captures our attention shapes who we become. Our true life is hidden with Christ, and as we behold Him, He transforms the way we think, speak, and live. When Jesus becomes our focus, everything else begins to fall into its proper place.
Family Discussion Questions:
What are some things that most easily capture our attention and thoughts each day?
What does it look like practically to “set our minds on things above” as a family?
How might our words, attitudes, or choices change if Jesus truly consumed everything we think, say, and do?
🍎A few reminders from Mrs. Smith
Attendance Reminder
As we enter the busiest part of the academic year, regular attendance remains the most effective tool for student success. During the second semester, the curriculum shifts quickly from reviewing old material to introducing new concepts, particularly in cumulative subjects like Math and Science. Missing just one day can make the next three days difficult to follow, as each lesson builds directly on the last. It is always easier for a student to keep up than to catch up; staying consistent helps prevent the "mountain of make-up work" that often leads to burnout. To help your child maintain their learning momentum, please aim to schedule non-emergency appointments during school breaks or after-school hours.
North Campus Drop-off Reminder
Some of our designated parking spots for staff and students in the East parking lot are being taken by parents who are dropping off students in the morning. When dropping off, please do not pull into the parking spots. Instead, please follow our designated drop-off routes. Thank you for your cooperation!
North Campus Events Expectations
In order to ensure every event (athletic or academic) is safe and our facilities are well-kept, we ask that children remain under the direct supervision of a parent at all times. To prevent injuries, children should not run in the hallways, play near stacked furniture, or be under the bleachers. Additionally, for security purposes, please ensure an adult or teen accompanies children to the restroom, and remind your children that they are never to go outside the building without an adult. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and secure environment for all our families!
