SKG Class Wars
This school year, Seckinger GSLT is introducing CLASS WARS! Class Wars is a yearlong friendly competition between grade levels where each class can earn points by participating in spirit days, attending sports events, and joining clubs! The more a grade participates, the more points their house gets! Learn more about Class Wars and GSLT by clicking the button below.

Tardies Begin on August 10th
At Seckinger High School, we believe that showing up on time and ready to learn is one of the most important steps toward success. Consistent attendance and punctuality not only help students stay on track academically but also reinforce responsibility and respect for others’ time.
Beginning Monday, August 10th, we will start documenting tardies to school and to class. If a student is not in the classroom at the conclusion of the tardy bell they will need to report to the nearest tardy station. Tardy stations are located in the attendance office, administrative office T202, administrative office T326, administrative office T425, and the library.
Students who accumulate multiple tardies will receive consequences. After five total tardies, students will receive consequences that could include: administrative conference, parent contact, after school detention, silent lunch, and/or In-School Suspension.
Let’s work together to build strong habits that support academic achievement and uphold the Seckinger Standard!
Important Update: Attendance Notifications & Support
Consistent attendance is key to your student’s academic success, social connection, and overall growth. In accordance with new state law and guidance, school districts are now required to track all absences (both excused and unexcused) and provide timely intervention and support when needed.
To keep you informed and work collaboratively with your family, the county office will be sending automated attendance emails beginning on August 11th when students reach specific absence milestones (3 days, 7 days, and 12 days). These automated alerts are issued directly by the county office via Synergy data, giving us the ability to exempt students but not to alter or halt the system broadcast.
These notifications from the county office are designed to help us partner early, identify any challenges your student may be facing (such as health concerns or transportation issues), and provide helpful resources to ensure they stay on track.
Thank you for partnering with us to help your student succeed! If you ever need support or have questions regarding attendance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our attendance office.
No Chromebook Loaners this Year: Please Bring Your Chromebook Every Day!
Students are expected to be prepared each day with their computer fully charged ready to use. Please note that due to limited equipment, chromebook loaners will not be available this year for students who forget their chromebook.

Seckinger Traffic Plan (previously posted)
We want to provide information on traffic patterns to our entire community early and often! The good news is that our campus has two entrances. Our school hours are 7:10-2:10. Please help us spread the word. Attached is the traffic pattern for bus and vehicle entry/exit to campus. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we all learn to follow the traffic pattern to ensure safety and efficiency.
Parent drop off will follow the blue or green traffic pattern. Students may be dropped off at the lower attendance office entrance beginning at 6:20 AM and proceed to the Commons for supervision. The car rider line begins to back up at 6:50. Students may not exit cars in the parking lot. We encourage you to practice this traffic pattern beginning on July 28th.
Parent pick up will follow the blue traffic pattern in the afternoons.
Student drivers will be assigned a specific parking spot for the 2026-2027 school year. Student drivers will also enter/exit from W Rock Quarry Road (back of campus near baseball/softball fields). Student drivers will be provided a lot assignment at Open House. Each student who drives an automobile to school must register the vehicle by purchasing a parking permit. Parking permits cost $70.00 for the year. Parking will go on sale through MyPaymentsPlus. Parking on campus is a privilege. Therefore, certain rules and regulations are expected of the student to maintain this privilege.
Walkers will use the sidewalks on Sardis Church Road and cross at the light. Walkers will leave campus through the side doors in the tower, cross at the gate at the top of our drive, and proceed to the traffic light.
