UPCOMING EVENTS!
REDISTRICTING COMMUNICATION FROM FULTON COUNTY SCHOOLS
Fulton County Schools will consider changes to attendance zones and evaluate school capacity through a redistricting/consolidation/closure process this fall. The process involves Geographic Region A (schools located south of the City of Atlanta) and Geographic Region C (schools located north of the Chattahoochee River). Because RMS is located within one of these regions, we encourage parents and community members to stay informed, learn more, and provide input. Information about upcoming community forums is available at www.fultonschools.org/redistricting and in the attached flyer.

VAPING- PARENTS, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Vaping Supplies- Hiding in Plain Sight
RMS Families,
Vaping continues to be a growing concern for teens nationwide, and unfortunately, many of the devices students use are designed to blend in with everyday items. Nicotine vaping impairs learning and brain development, affecting areas responsible for memory, focus, and impulse control.
How Parents Can Help?
1. Start the Conversation Early and Often
2. Learn What Vaping Devices Look Like
3. Set Clear Expectations
4. Pay Attention to Behavior Changes
5. Monitor Access to Online Purchases

ALL IN ON ATTENDANCE
Building Strong Routines!
September is the perfect time to set consistent morning and bedtime routines that make school attendance a natural habit. Students who start the year strong are more likely to maintain excellent attendance all year long.
Students who miss fewer than 5 days in the first semester are 3 times more likely to stay on track in reading and math.
The late bell rings at 8:55. Students should be in their classroom ready to learn at that time.
Please email your child’s teacher when your child is absent.
STUDENT SAFETY
PARENT DROF-OFF & PICK-UP PROTOCOL
- All students being picked up must be met in the designated parking lot.
- Students are not permitted to walk to the street or meet cars outside of the school grounds.
- For the safety of our bus riders, no cars are allowed in the bus lane during morning arrival or afternoon dismissal. This area is reserved exclusively for school buses and staff.
WE LOVE VOLUNTEERS!
Visit our school website to sign up for volunteer opportunities at RMS! Contact Ms. Diantha Parker, Parkerd3@fultonschools.org, for more information.
