A Big Thank You to Our Escalona Community!๐
What an incredible Fun Run! Once again, our Escalona families and community reminded us just how special this school is. Thank you to every parent, family member, friend, and supporter who contributed to our biggest fundraiser of the year. Your generosity makes a real difference in the opportunities and experiences we can provide for our students. A very special thank you goes to our amazing PTA. Behind every successful event is a group of dedicated volunteers giving their time, energy, and talents to make something wonderful happen for our children. Our PTA does this time and time again, and we cannot thank them enough. Their commitment to Escalona is truly something special. To our PTA and every family who supported this year's Fun Run, thank you! We are fortunate to have such a wonderful school community. Go Eagles! ๐๐ฆ
๐ You're Invited! First ELAC Meeting of the Year!
Dear Escalona Families,
We invite all Escalona families to join us for our first English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) meeting of the school year! ELAC gives families an opportunity to learn about our programs for English Learners, share feedback, and have a voice in our school community. During this meeting, we will elect committee representatives and share important school updates. All families are welcome to attend! For your convenience, we will hold the meeting virtually via Zoom.
๐ Date: October 28th
โฐ Time: 1;30 - 2:00 PM

๐ฆ October PBIS Focus: Safety
This October, our PBIS focus is SAFETY! At Escalona, we want our Eagles to understand that being safe means making choices that protect themselves and others.
Families can help reinforce safety at home by talking about:
- Walking safely in parking lots, hallways, and public spaces
- Keeping hands, feet, and objects to ourselves
- Following adult directions the first time
- Using playground and sports equipment appropriately
- Speaking up when something feels unsafe
- Making safe and responsible choices online
Ask your child: โWhat does being a safe Eagle look like?โ When school and home reinforce the same expectations, our students hear one clear message: Eagles are respectful, responsible, and safe! ๐๐ฆ
๐ฑ๐Thought of the Week - A Little Kindness๐๐
โWhat if we assumed everyone we encountered today was carrying something we couldn't see?โ
A little patience, a kind word, or a moment of understanding may be exactly what someone needs.
๐งฎโจLet's Get Math-tastic, Escalona!๐๐ฆ
Our October Interactive Math Wall is up, and this month's challenge is extra special! Thanks to our amazing Math Mentor, Mr. Brown, and our student mathematicians who helped co-create this month's challenge! How cool is that? ๐ We encourage families to join the fun and try the math challenges at home! Students who wish to participate can complete a student answer form and submit their creative solutions. At the end of the month, we'll recognize our most creative math thinkers with a special Math Award! ๐ Let's keep building our math minds, Eagles! ๐๐ข
๐งฅ๐Lost & Found: Thank You, Families! ๐
We still have a few items waiting to be claimed at the front of the school. Please encourage your child to check for any missing belongings before we head into break. All unclaimed items will be donated after the break. Thank you for helping us keep our Lost & Found under control! ๐๐ฆ
