2-Hr Delayed Opening

Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,

Due to the inclement weather for the area and to allow for additional time for cleanup and safe travel, all Bedford Public Schools and district offices are currently scheduled to have a two-hour delayed opening on Friday, March 6, 2026:

JGMS: 9:40 am
BHS: 9:45 am
Lane: 10:22 am
Davis: 10:55 am

Preschool: Closed for students (though staff should report in)

Please note that the 2-hour delay means that bus pick-up times are 2-hours later than normal and that there will be no morning recreation or other programs. However, afternoon recreation, athletics and other programs will be held as scheduled.

Please prioritize safety and allow extra time for travel during the morning commute. Note that sidewalks may not be cleared, so please take appropriate precautions. We understand that local and neighborhood conditions may vary, and we respect each family's individual decisions about safety. We extend our thanks to Bedford Department of Public Works and Facilities staff for their around-the-clock hard work to ensure safe conditions for our community.

P.S. I will continue to monitor weather conditions closely in consultation with the DPW. If conditions worsen unexpectedly, I will make any announcement about school closures no later than 5 am in the morning.
