Happy Valentines Day
They say all you need is love, but I'm a firm believer that a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt, either! Consider this week’s newsletter the "extra sprinkles" on your typical routine—a small, sweet break designed to fuel your day. Just as piece, or seven, of Hershey Kisses makes everything better, the hard work of our staff, our students, and the unwavering support of our patrons are the ingredients that make our communities amazing. I hope the sickness has subsided and you are ready for an "sweet" week.

Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Love, Patience, & Grace...
Good morning!
I hope you are staying healthy and that the sickness has gone away. I just want to say thank you for the understanding, patience, and flexibility. I also want to say thank you to our amazing staff for their dedication through the sickness and to our students who gave everything they could to be at school. I appreciate it and it doesn't go unnoticed.
They say that "all you need is love," but I am a firm believer that a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt, either. In the relentless rush of deadlines, exams, and daily responsibilities, it is far too easy to forget that rest is not a reward for productivity—it is a requirement for it. Whether you are a student deep in study, a staff member balancing a dozen hats, or a patron supporting our mission, please remember that you are allowed to step back, breathe, and simply be. Savoring a piece of chocolate is a small act, but it represents a larger, vital truth: enjoying the present moment is just as important as reaching the final goal. I encourage you to hit the pause button when you need it and embrace the idea that relaxing isn't just "time off," but a necessary part of the work itself. You’ve earned a moment of sweetness today, so please, be sure to take it.
It is often in these quiet, shared moments of rest that our best ideas are born and our strongest connections are made. While the drive to achieve is what brings us together, it is the kindness we show ourselves—and each other—during the "in-between" moments that truly sustains us. Whether it’s a quick coffee break with a colleague, a moment of reflection between classes, or simply pausing to enjoy a treat, these small acts of self-care ripple outward. By giving ourselves permission to slow down, we create a culture where everyone feels seen, supported, and energized. As you move through your week, remember that perfection isn't the goal; a balanced, well-rested, and slightly "chocolate-fueled" journey is much more rewarding.
Have a great rest of your week!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt."

Tucker Tejkl
