Principal's Message Principal's Message

I have recently identified instances of students using school-issued Chromebooks inappropriately. Specifically, some students are circumventing GJPS security systems to chat and share information through methods that bypass staff monitoring.

Please be advised that, per District Policy 7540.03, the use of technology is a privilege, not a right. Students are expected to use school technology for educational purposes only. Any unauthorized use—including bypassing security filters or using unapproved communication tools—is a violation of the Technology Acceptable Use Agreement.

We ask that you speak with your student about using their device effectively and responsibly. Please reinforce that violations of these policies may result in disciplinary action, as well as the loss of technology privileges.

You can view more informaiton about technology use here: BoardDocs

These digital connections are reshaping what it means to be a friend and how friendships influence young people’s well-being. Click the link here to register and for additional information.
