Dr. Koop's Newsletter
January 5, 2024
Dear KRS families,
Thank you to the KRS PTO for providing the funding for the very popular laser show which will be presented today in 2 separate assembles. ( K-2 and 3-5).
Students will be learning about Martin Luther King Jr. in their classes to celebrate his legacy, contributions, and his birthday on January 15, 2024. (Madison schools are closed on January 15th.)
We were informed by the Madison Education Foundation that KRS was approved for a number of grants submitted by KRS teachers. Grant projects approved included books for the library, equipment for a KRS STEAM Production Studio, Promethean boards, a Tara Lazar author visit, and more. Great thanks to the Madison Education Foundation for their support of the KRS students and teachers. I will provide more information about the grants in future newsletters.
Have a fantastic weekend!
Sincerely,
Dr. Kathy Koop
