Popcorn Sales Recap

Thank you to Grade 6 student Abbey and her family for generously donating the popcorn and the hours spent popping, bagging and distributing popcorn for our School Council Popcorn Days!! We raised $755.60 for the playground! Thank you to everyone who ordered!

Playground Update

We have received notification from the school district that the current playground structure will be extended for one more school year. This is a one time, one year grace period to allow for one more year before it is replaced with the new playground. Thank you to the community for your support in fundraising for the new structure.

Student Success

Transportation Registration

Please complete the transportation registration form below if you intend to access School bus transportation next year. Registration is due in June for students intending to ride the school bus in september. If you do not register before the end of the school year, you may lose your stop in September and it can take a long time to create the stop. This can result in a lot of inconvenience for families. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 403 500 2040.

School Start Online Supply Kits are Now Available for Parents to Purchase

Families, you can now purchase their school supply kits directly from School Start (our official online school supply kit company for your convenience). The supply list for each grade is attached. You may also utilize the same list to purchase your supplies locally. Remember, with School Start's online ordering option you can purchase parts of the additional section if your child already has supplies that are in good order from a previous year - please save money and the environment.

If you order early, you will be entered in one or more contests! Please see the attached Parent Letter for those incentive details.

- Select Province, then City, then School

- Click "Here to Purchase"

- Lastly, click on your child's grade and proceed from there

School Wellness Worker

Since June is Indigenous Peoples Month in Canada, I invite you to become familiar with The First Nations Child and Family Caring Society, and the valuable work it does in education, advocacy and reconciliation all year round. Playground Gymnastics

Students are asked to limit gymnastics moves to a simple cartwheel. While we can appreciate the athleticism and skill some students have acquired, it is dangerous for untrained individuals to attempt more complicated moves. Attempting to do handsprings and flips can be dangerous. Please remind your child of this expectation.

Indigenous Education

Enrollment in A Catholic School for Non-Catholics

The Education Act requires the Calgary Catholic School District to prioritize resources and facilities for resident (Catholic) students. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the advancement of a non-resident (non-Catholic) student from one grade to the next in the same school or from elementary to junior and senior high school.

We do not reassess the enrollment priority of a non-resident student during a school year, but we may do this for a future school year. This may result in us informing you to seek enrollment at a different school in the Calgary Catholic School District or another school division for a future school year.
