• Update on PD RUSTY JOHNSON is doing safety training for all schools. They plan to be done by FEB

• Update on Charges for Keys (Jeremy White

• Damon has reviewed nurse salaries from the big 4. He is also in the process of comparing assignments, ratios, and duties.

• Nurses want to be Compensated for training required to keep licensure?

• Damon & Kathy need some clarification on this. To their knowledge it has always been paid for.

• Maibel Tapia will join the Calendar Committee (led by Jill Law) as a representative for Classified Staff

• Update on Evaluations for Classified Staff

• We are still working on developing the standards for Evaluations for all classified staff.

• PPC Bylaws

• The committee reviewed Fayetteville’s PPC bylaws for reference and plan to use it as a guideline to rewrite Springdale PPC’s bylaws.

• Questions/concerns from Classified Staff:

• Where to get answers for classified staff that are not a policy question?

• Increasing ParaProfessional pay

• Substitute pay was increased last month and it was noted that a new FT Para is now making less than a substitute. We will ask Kelly Hayes for next month’s meeting

• Who determines Dress code?

• Answer: Supervisors decide the dress code for their building/area

• Are all staff members going to wear masks in schools again?

• Answer: Staff members are always free to wear masks. Currently, the district does not have a policy requiring masks. If the school board changes this, it will be communicated to all staff. (Kendra Clay)

*Damon Donnell stated that the warehouse will deliver KN95 masks to buildings based on a principal’s request. Please see your building principal to request a mask.

• What happens to our sick days we haven’t used when we retire? Do we lose them or do we get paid for them?

• Springdale compensates their employees for unused sick days based on years of service full retirement with the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System. For more details see policy GDBC

• If you have to go to a funeral, are there bereavement days?

• You may use sick or personal days for funerals

• If staff use all of their days and other staff want to donate them due to a catastrophic illness this form can be used to process the request.
