The Wildkat Word: Back-to-School
Summer is almost over, and we are eagerly awaiting the return of your students to our classrooms! This newsletter contains important information regarding back-to-school. Below, you will find details about registration, transportation, school supplies, and more. We encourage you to take a moment to review the contents of this newsletter to ensure your student has everything they need to start the school year.
PLEASE NOTE: An updated version of this newsletter will be sent out towards the end of the month due to the launch of our new website. The information will remain the same, but the links will change.
DR. JAMES' FIRST MONTHS IN WILLIS ISD
Thank you for welcoming me to Willis ISD!
We wrapped up the school year with many wonderful celebration opportunities. First, we toured with the Education Foundation to surprise the district Teachers and Paraprofessionals of the Year. The Willis High School senior awards night was a highlight for me. It is clear that the high school has focused on a culture of success. Graduation was another wonderful opportunity to celebrate the students of Willis ISD. I was so proud to be on stage with Mr. Crowe and shake hands with almost 600 students as they prepare to enter the best part of their lives.
This summer, I spent time with all of the district’s school principals and department directors. These meetings have given me insight into the inner workings of the district, as well as an understanding of current priorities and initiatives. I also held extended-length meetings with each board member to learn more about them, their history with the district, and their goals and priorities for me as Superintendent.
I look forward to the upcoming school year and am excited to see all your students' smiling faces back in our halls. Go Kats!

Please click the button on the right to begin the verification process, or click here.
Please review the times and dates above to ensure your student does not miss out on Meet the Teacher or student orientation. For elementary students, this will be a good time to drop off your school supplies and verify transportation information.

(NOTE: High school students will receive instructions from their teachers regarding the required supplies during the first week of school.)

Below is some general information regarding the device and its usage. For our full terms and policies, please see the Student Acceptable Use Policy and the Student Device Handbook which can be found here: https://bit.ly/wisdchromebooks.
