A Note from Principal Carlotta Simonds-Perantoni
In observance of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we held a moment of silence this morning. A day of loss and tragedy that will not be forgotten.
Next week is a busy week at WRVS and our first full week of school this year so far:
Tuesday, Sept. 15th & Wednesday, Sept. 16th - Dental Van is here
Wednesday, Sept .16th - WRVS Class of 2027 Parent/Scholar Meeting @ 5:30 in the Library
Thursday, Sept. 17th - WRVS K-8 Scholars attend Tunbridge World's Fair Agricultural Ed. Day
Thursday, Sept. 17th - WRVS Board Meeting at 6:00 PM
Friday, Sept. 18th - WRVS Meadow Farms Fundraiser will be sent home with scholars
The Lost and Found is starting to acquire a few clothing items. If your scholar has lost something, please check our Lost and Found.
The sign-up form for our annual Grandparents' Day lunch for Thursday, October 8th went out yesterday. Please take a minute to fill out the sign-up form if your scholar's grandparent(s) will attend. The scholars and staff look forward every year to seeing the gym and halls filled with grandparents!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Dates to Remember:
Dental Van- September 15th and September 16th.
Little Rivers Mobile Health Clinic- 9/16, 9/30, 10/14 ,10/28
Here are a few things I’d like you to keep in mind and help out with:
● Water Bottles: Please help students to remember their reusable water bottles. Many of the complaints that I see, can be helped with a good drink of water. A water bottle can help keep kids in class!
● Extra clothes: Please help students of all ages remember a second set of seasonally appropriate clothes. We work and play hard at WRVS, and you’d be amazed how often a quick change can help! The office can sometimes take gently used hand me down clothing items if you are ever looking to donate to our cause, please reach out first.
● Forms: If you have not returned health update forms, please try to get them filled out and returned asap. These forms really help me to collect required report data and most importantly meet and care for your student in the best way possible. If your children are participating in soccer, please make sure their up to date physical exam is on file. These are required before players can compete in games.
● Medication: Please contact me if you have not and your child needs to take medication at school. Please do not send medication to school with your child. If getting them here is a problem, please call me to discuss a plan.
● Sick Day Guidance:
- Student should be 24 hours without a fever and not taking fever reducing medicine.
- Student should be 24 hours without vomiting or diarrhea.
- Student’s symptoms should be improving and the student should be well enough to fully participate in their day.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to me at school during the school day at 802-439-5534 or via
email at carla.horniak@oesu.org.
