  • All students receive breakfast and lunch at no cost.
  • Students must wear standard school attire.
  • Kindergarten and PK students will dismiss on half day schedule on Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12.
  • Kindergarten parents MUST be at the bus stop for afternoon dismissal. Bus drivers are not permitted to release kindergarten students without a parent. This is to keep our kiddos safe.

Dodson T-Shirt Sale

Our PTO will be sponsoring at t-shirt and sweatshirt sale in September. These shirts will meet the requirements for SSA. This is NOT a fundraiser. The PTO strives to keep the cost low for our families. T-shirts will b $10 and sweatshirts will be $18. More information will be coming home soon.

Car Rider Procedures

AM
  • The car line is supervised by our staff. Please stay in your car. Students may exit their vehicle when the whistle is blown. This ensures ALL cars have come to a complete stop. Fifth graders, serving as safety patrol, can assist younger students in finding their classrooms if needed. Cars may move once the second whistle is blown, indicating all children are out of the driveway.
  • Students MUST NOT be dropped off in the bus lane. If you choose, you may park on the bus side of the building, but you MUST walk your student to the front door.
PM

  • If your child is a car rider, please stop by the car rider table during our Back To School Bulldog Bash to obtain a car rider tag. Anyone attempting to pick up a child that does not have one MUST park and show identification.
  • Enter slowly so our staff member can see your tag and call for your child. Students will be held in the building until we are ready to dismiss a large group. Students will then walk through the center of the drive to find their car.
  • Vehicles should remain in park until the whistle is blown indicating it is safe to exit the drive.
  • Drivers and family members should remain in their cars.
Please be patient. The first week is slower, but rest assured, we have it down to a science and the pace will pick up.

Dressed For Success. . . Standard School Attire

  • All shirts must have short or long sleeves and must have a collar (polo, dress-style, peter pan or turtleneck). Any solid color shirt is acceptable.
  • Dodson t-shirts or Dodson sweatshirts are acceptable. The PTO will place an order for families. The cost is minimal, and this does not serve as a fundraiser.
  • All pants, shorts, Capri pants, skirts, skorts or jumpers must be navy blue, black or any shade of khaki. Students may also wear blue jeans that do not have holes in them. Cargo pants of any color are not permissible.
