Caregiver Update

Dear Clough Families,

One more week and we are back to school!! It's a good thing we have a few more days to finish up lots of the construction projects both inside and outside of the school. So much work has been done in the buildings across the district. I will share more specifics in my update next week. There has been a crew replacing some of the curbs and sidewalks. Unfortunately, because the whole sidewalk behind the school where our playground is still needs to be finished, we need to reschedule our Popsicles in the Park event. We will still have the Kindergarten Meet and Greet from 5:00-6:00pm on the front playground on Thursday, Aug. 27. But we will now have our playground event for PK-4 on Monday, Aug. 31 from 5:00-6:00pm. See the flyer below for the changes.

If you are planning to attend this new date for our Popsicles in the Park event, please RSVP here. The PTO wants to make sure they have enough popsicles for everyone.

During the K Meet and Greet, students and their families will be able to play on the front playground, and they will also have a chance to visit their classrooms! The Spanish Immersion Kindergarten class will have their Meet and Greet on Monday, Aug. 31 from 4:00-5:00. (Sra. Martinez will be back from Spain by that date.) They will also get to play on the playground and tour the classroom.

The bus routes have been posted on the website and I am linking them in here. Please remember for the first few weeks, it will take some time to get the timing consistent.

I am including some different flyers for upcoming events, as well as Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Nipmuc Youth Basketball. You will also see some flyers introducing some of our new Clough staff. I am still in the process of hiring a few more staff members this week. I will keep you all posted!

I will be sending out another Caregiver Update on Monday with more information about the start of school on Sept. 2. Looking forward to seeing students and families at our upcoming events!

Cafeteria Information For New Students

Breakfast and lunch is FREE again this year for all students and we have lots of healthy options! Encourage your children to give our school meals a try!

If students need breakfast, they will be able to eat breakfast in the cafeteria from 8:45-9:00. We will have staff there monitoring them and then sending them to their classrooms to start the day.

In order to track our daily counts, students will input their pin numbers at the cash register. After getting their meals, children will enter their 4-digit pin, then press the green ENTER button. Our pin pads look like this. Please have your children begin to memorize their pin numbers. Thank you!
