COLOR WHEEL

Maybe your favorite color is Red, Orange or Blue. But there are millions of different reds, oranges, and blues. Every different shade or tint has a whole different flavor. A Color Wheel will help you understand how to really see and use color.

I choose to do this project because I love colors. it's amazing how mixing two or more colors can give you a totally different color and that is what I admire about the color wheel.

I was inspired by Frida Kahlo, a Mexican painter who has achieved great international popularity. She painted using vibrant colors in a style that was influenced by indigenous cultures of Mexico as well as by European influence that includes realism, symbolism, surrealism.

When I first started my work I thought I couldn’t do it because I have never painted before, but her artwork helps me to understand that you can do anything as long as you put your mind to it. it can be a little difficult when mixing colors, but a simple technique can help you improve and do even better than before.

In some countries, a bird is a symbol of peace, freedom, and prosperity. I CREATED THIS WORK BECAUSE I REALLY LOVE DRAWING EVEN THOUGH I’M NOT REALLY GOOD AT IT. I THOUGHT BY DOING THIS PROJECT MY DRAWING SKILLS WILL IMPROVE AND IT WILL ALSO TEACH ME A LOT ABOUT DRAWING. I WAS HOPING TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING GOOD AT THE END OF THIS PROCESS BECAUSE I PUT SO MUCH EFFORT IN IT. I THINK MY WORK WILL COMMUNICATE LOVE AND MEMORIES TO OTHERS BECAUSE SOME COUNTRIES HAVE BIRD ON IT’S FLAG AS A SYMBOL THAT Represents FREEDOM, AND THIS WILL BE A GREAT MEMORY OF VIEWERS FROM SUCH COUNTRY. I WAS INSPIRE TO DRAW A BIRD BY LOOKING AT KIM DIMENT ARTWORK. His work is flawless and amazing and it has influenced so many p[eople around the world.

THIS ART WILL COMMUNICATE LOVE AND MEMORIES TO OTHERS BECAUSE A FLOWER IS THE SYMBOL OF LOVE, AND BY LOOKING AT MY ART, IT CAN BE MEMORIES FOR FAMILY AND LOVED ONES, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT HAVE PASSED AWAY.

I HAVE LEARNED SOME BASIC SKILLS FROM DOING THIS WORK, I HAD A LOT OF DIFFICULT EXPERIENCE WHICH TURNS OUT TO BE REALLY EASY AND FUN. I LEARN SOME STRATEGIES AND I GOT FEEDBACK FROM MY TEACHER AND MY PEERS WHICH REALLY HELP ME A LOT IN CREATING THIS WORK. I THINK THE REST OF THE SOCIETY REALLY NEEDS TO FOCUS ON THE WORLD OF ART AND CULTURE AS A VITAL SOURCE OF FINDING SOLUTIONS AND IT IS A GREAT WAY TO BRING BACK OLD MEMORIES.

My second quarter project which is titled “Freedom” is the project that I'm most proud of because it was during this project process that I get to really see how good I am when it comes to drawing, and the reaction of people when they see my project makes me even more proud of myself. My drawing skills improve during this project process and everyone sees my art falls in love with it and that’s why I'm very proud of this work. My biggest strength is when I start working on an art, I never stop until I see that I made a lot of progress, and I never give up on myself. My biggest weakness is redoing an artwork when I make a little mistake which can delay my project time and cause me to finish my work late.

I want to build a Sculpture for my next art because I already know how to draw so I want to try something new. I was inspired by Frida Kahlo who mostly painted self-portraits. Her paintings often had strong autobiographical elements and mixed realism with fantasy. Her work has been celebrated internationally as emblematic of Mexican national and indigenous traditions, and by feminists for what is seen as its uncompromising depiction of the female experience and form.
