Reminders, Updates, and a Map:

  • Please do not block neighborhood streets waiting to line up for pick up and drop off.
  • There is no parking or idling in the back lot — no exceptions. This became an increasing issue last year. Enter the drop-off line on Linden Street and wait your turn to move through the front circle. The line can be long, so please plan accordingly.
  • The first car should pull all the way forward to the end of the loop to allow multiple cars to fit in the loop
  • In the morning, please encourage students to be ready to exit the vehicle as soon as you have safely stopped and remind students to walk on the sidewalk.
  • Students should exit from the right side of the vehicle only.
  • Drop-off and pick-up along Linden and Woodland has become unsafe. There cannot be any student drop-off or pick-up on Linden Street or Woodland Street. Families must use the school parking loop.
  • HPD is asking that students use the rail trails whenever possible. Please use designated crosswalks and locations where crossing guards are present.

"Keep What You Love" Annual Fund -

Over the past few years, the Holliston PTO has seen incredible growth. Thanks to your generosity, both financially and through volunteerism, our membership has increased, our community is stronger, and our students are benefiting every day from new opportunities and experiences.

This campaign is simple: you give directly to the PTO at a level that works for you, and 100 percent of your donation goes right back into our four schools this school year.

Health Updates Health Updates

State mandated health screenings for 7TH GRADE STUDENTS ONLY including vision, hearing, height, weight, and postural will be done at Robert Adams Middle School on Monday, November 23rd, 2026. If your student wears glasses, please remind them to bring their glasses to school.

Screenings:

Vision and Hearing Screenings are conducted according to the guidelines provided by the MDPH (https://www.mass.gov/lists/school-health-screening). A referral letter is sent home when the student does not meet the screening parameters recommending evaluation by your physician or vision professional.

Heights and weights are done on students in grades 1, 4, 7, and 10. Body Mass Index (BMI) and corresponding percentile is calculated and recorded following guidelines from the MDPH for each student. The results are not mailed home but instead will be recorded in the student’s cumulative health record at school. Parents are welcome to call the school nurse to discuss the findings.

Postural screening is conducted annually for students in grades 5-9. A report from the student’s healthcare provider is required in order to be excused from this school screening. A referral letter is sent home when the student does not meet the screening parameter so that further evaluation can be done.

Exemptions: These exams are mandated by the state. A religious exemption, medical exemption or provider’s note submitted before the screening is acceptable to excuse your student from the exam.

Heating and oil assistance

The heating-assistance season runs November 1 through April 30, with eligibility and benefit amounts determined by SMOC. Local fuel-assistance information. (townofholliston.us)

Thanksgiving and ongoing food assistance

The Holliston Pantry Shelf is a local resource for residents experiencing food insecurity. Families can call 508-429-5392 to ask about accessing groceries and this year’s Thanksgiving support, including any registration requirements or deadlines. Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors also supports the Pantry Shelf’s Thanksgiving efforts. Holliston Pantry Shelf. (stmarysholliston.com, hollistonnewcomers.org)

My Friend Ben: a quick benefits check

My Friend Ben’s Massachusetts screener is a free tool that helps families identify benefits and tax credits they may qualify for. It takes about six minutes and does not require a name or Social Security number. Results are a starting point for exploring assistance, rather than an approval for benefits. (myfriendben.org)
