Jaxen Rivera

Jaxen is a kind, smart, and hardworking student whose positive attitude and dedication make him an outstanding member of the 7th grade. Jaxen enjoys gaming and riding bikes, and he brings that same enthusiasm to his academic goals. He is committed to earning straight A’s and B’s throughout the school year and looks ahead to attending college and earning a degree. Jaxen has big dreams for his future, including becoming both a mechanic and a coder. His favorite subject is Social Studies because he loves learning about history, especially the American Revolution. Jaxen would also like to recognize Mrs. Daubert for inspiring him; he believes she is one of the best teachers ever and appreciates the way she teaches gifted enrichment and formerly ELA. Her encouragement has made a lasting impact on him. Congratulations, Jaxen!

Nylah Armstrong

Nylah is an ambitious, confident, and wonderfully silly student whose energy and drive make her stand out in the 7th grade. She enjoys staying active through sports, relaxing with movies, and treating herself to Chipotle bowls. Nylah is proud of her academic success and has set a short-term goal of maintaining straight A’s for the rest of the school year. Looking ahead, she dreams of becoming an astronomer and is already feeding her curiosity by reading The Institute by Stephen King. Her favorite subject is Science because she loves hands-on experiments and working with chemicals. Nylah is also inspired by two teachers—Mr. Bradley, who she admires for being tough, and Ms. Gergely, whose kindness makes a lasting impact. Congratulations, Nylah!
