Headteacher's Bulletin
16/01/26 - Edition 83

Highlights of the week
Mr Lisseman - Headteacher
Dear Parents & Carers,
It has been another positive and purposeful week at Twickenham School, with a strong focus on wellbeing, motivation and achievement across the school.
We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students, who have now completed their first GCSE examination in Hospitality and Catering. Congratulations to all of the students involved for the commitment, focus and professionalism they showed in the lead-up to, and during, the exam. This marks an important milestone in their examination journey, and they should be very proud of themselves.
As part of our continued support for Year 11, students also took part in a workshop on mastering motivation. The session provided practical and reassuring advice on effective revision strategies, goal-setting and maintaining momentum, and was extremely well received. It was encouraging to see students engaging thoughtfully with the guidance and reflecting on how best to prepare for the months ahead.
This week’s assemblies focused on mental health and the importance of open conversation through the Time to Talk programme. Students were encouraged to reflect on the value of speaking up, supporting one another and knowing where to seek help when needed. These sessions form an important part of our wider commitment to student wellbeing and ensuring that every young person feels supported.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. The sense of focus and care across the school has been clear this week, and we look forward to building on this positive momentum in the weeks ahead.
Student Bulletin
Each Monday morning in tutor time, students and their form tutors review the weekly student bulletin. This is a round up of all the important information, notices and reminders that they need to know. The bulletin is also posted on the screens around school so they can refer back to it at any time.

Club Highlight - Science Club
Dr Cooke - Science KS 4 Coordinator
Science Club runs every Monday after school for students in Years 7, 8, and 9. The club gives students the chance to explore science beyond the classroom through hands-on experiments, challenges, and fun investigations.
It’s a great opportunity to be curious, ask questions, and enjoy discovering how science works in an exciting and practical way.
Last week students looked at chemical reactions whilst making their own bathbombs!
