Family Update
Davis Middle School
October 24, 2025
Happy Friday, Davis Families!
Thanks to everyone that joined us for Fall Fest last night. What an awesome turn out and so much fun! Thanks to our student council for planning such a great event.
Exciting news from our Media Center -- no cell phones and Book O'Clock Wednesdays are making a HUGE difference in the reading going on at Davis. Book O'Clock is a 15 minute dedicated reading time where everyone (staff included!) stops what they are doing at 9:20am and reads silently. It is awesome!
From August 20, 2023 to October 23, 2023 there were 3,171 book check-outs.
From August 20, 2024 to October 23, 2024 there were 3,112 book check-outs.
From August 20, 2025 to October 23, 2025 there were 4,288 book check-outs.
That's over a 35% increase of book check-outs from the same time period of 2024 to 2025!
We just wanted to share some fun Davis reading news. Ask your student what they are reading for Book O'Clock! It has been fun to see all of the different choices. 📚
Go Irish!
