Allergy Aware School Reminder

We would like to remind families that St Anthony's is an allergy aware school and we request that peanut butter, nutella and nuts are not included in your child’s lunch.

Afternoon Pick-Up

Thank you to the parents who clearly display their family name on the car to assist the quick flow of traffic in both car parks. If your family name is not clearly displayed, please ensure this is done ASAP as it will help us with traffic management. If you have misplaced your family name sign please contact Gill in the office and she will make a new sign for your car.

I also ask for your patience in the afternoons, particularly in the church car park. Every effort is made by staff to have traffic move quickly; however, holdups occur when children do not listen for their name or do not respond quickly and move to the gate. On occasion we have been calling for children only to find they were in OSH and parents had forgotten.

Please also remember that it is against the Traffic Code to enter a roundabout unless you can exit it immediately.

In anticipation – thank you.

Student Code of Conduct: Safe Student Code of Conduct: Safe

Earlier this year, our Year 6 student leaders developed the Student Code of Conduct. Central to this initiative is the commitment to ensuring that each student feels safe and supported during their time at St Anthony's. This commitment is evident through the core principles of our code. For students to feel safe at St Anthony’s, students believe the following:

1. Responsibility and Ownership: Our students pledge to be responsible, honest, and accountable for their actions. By instilling a sense of ownership, we empower them to make sound decisions that positively impact their peers and the school community.

2. Rule Adherence: Adhering to both the school's rules and the revered St Anthony’s Way, students demonstrate their dedication to maintaining a secure and respectful atmosphere for all.

3. Upstander Mentality: In situations where safety or conflicts are at stake, our students have pledged to be upstanders. This means standing up for others, supporting those who may be facing difficulties, and promptly reporting any rule violations to teachers.

4. Leading by Example: The code encourages students to set the standard for their peers by exemplifying positive behavior and demonstrating empathy and kindness in their interactions.

We believe that nurturing a community where students are actively engaged in their own safety contributes to a more vibrant and secure educational environment. As parents, it is important that these messages are also supported at home, further strengthening the home-school partnership. Together, let's celebrate the dedication and maturity our students are showcasing through this Student-Developed Code of Conduct.

Faith In Action Faith In Action

After weeks of preparation our Year 4 students are ready to receive the beautiful sacrament of First Holy Communion, we send our heartfelt prayers and best wishes to each one of them. This special occasion marks a significant step in their faith journey, a moment when they will become even closer to our Lord Jesus Christ.

We pray that they may approach this day with a pure heart, a spirit of gratitude, and a sense of wonder. May they always remember the significance of this moment and carry the teachings of Jesus with them.

May their families, friends, and all those who have support them in their faith be blessed as well, for their guidance and love.

As they take this step forward, they will be surrounded by the love and prayers of our St Anthony’s community. We hope they continue to grow in faith, love, and grace, and may the light of Christ shine brightly within them, guiding their path always.

Music News Music News

One Big Voice is this Friday, August 18, 2023. The choir have been busy preparing for the past 2 terms. One Big Voice is a choral festival aimed at promoting a love of singing, friendship and acceptance, and developing relationships with other children who share a love of music. It is held at the RAC Arena and involves over 200 schools.

We are excited this year to be wearing our new set of school choir shirts. This has been made possible due to a generous donation from Emeco Group. A big thank you to our wonderful uniform shop lady, Gabrielle, for her help in the design and ordering of the shirts. We are going to look fantastic!

The choir also received a donation from the Northern Suburbs Gathering which we also put towards our new shirts. The choir have been visiting The Gathering twice a year for the last seven years and it is always a highlight to be able to sing for the senior members of our community and its surrounds. Earlier this term Pre-Primary Blue sang for them when the choir wasn’t able to because of swimming lessons. Pre-Primary Blue were a huge hit and we even had many of The Gathering members dancing with us by the end.

Choir Students - One Big Voice this Friday - Reminder

Children only need to bring a small snack or sandwich in a disposable bag.

No drink bottles, school bags, phones, smart watches, jumpers.

Please arrive at school at normal choir time of 8am wearing our new choir shirts and black pants.

The Year 4s will be representing our school at the 2023 Catholic Performing Arts Festival next week, Friday 25th August.

Our performance is 1pm – 2pm at the Vasto Club in Balcatta. Tickets can be purchased through the is link below.

Pre Primary Blue sang at the Northern Suburbs Gathering for our senior citizen at the beginning of the term. They were a huge hit. We even had the crowd doing the Hokey Pocky with us by the end.
