Mrs. Morgan's Message:
Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, I want to thank you for your continued partnership and support in fostering a positive learning environment for our students. Reflecting on the past year, I am very proud of the achievements and growth we have witnessed! The success is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, staff, and of course, you-our families.
I encourage you all to stay connected through our newsletters, website, and social media for updates! I would also like to remind families of the importance of attendance. Your support at home plays an important role in ensuring that students remain focused and motivated.
Wishing you a joyful and successful New Year!
Breakfast in the Cafe' Guidelines
Breakfast will be served in the SES cafeteria from 8 to 8:30 AM for students only. "Grab & Go" breakfast option will be available for students arriving between 8:30 and 8:40 AM.
We will ensure that students arriving on late buses receive breakfast. Buses are usually here on time. We ask our car rider and walker students eating breakfast to please arrive early with the plan to provide time to eat breakfast at school. At 8:40am, the bell rings and the instructional day starts!
Breakfast Procedures:
1. Kindergarten- 5th Grade students will eat in the cafeteria. PreK students will eat in their classrooms.
2. Students sit on one side of the table, facing the stage.
3. There will be an empty seat between each student.
4. Breakfast will be enjoyed quietly with music playing.
5. Students will have 10 minutes to eat breakfast.
Forks, spoons, and napkins will be available at the end of each table.
School Safety
Clear Bookbags:
Originally, the requirement for clear book bags was set to begin with the second semester. However, due to delays in securing enough bags for students who may not be able to purchase them or receive them in time, we have decided to take a phased approach to this requirement.
For now, we are encouraging students to start using clear book bags, but there will be no disciplinary action for those without them until we can ensure all students have access to the necessary bags.
The goal is to fully implement this expectation when students return in August.
Morning Arrival: As part of our ongoing effort to ensure the safety of all students, we'd like to inform you that everyone should be using the designated car rider line during morning drop-off. Parking and walking your child to the front of the school can create an unsafe situation with moving vehicles, bus zone, etc. The car rider line is designed to provide a smooth, safe way for students to arrive to school. The car rider line with assigned staff is from 8-8:40 AM. After 8:40 AM parents must park and sign their child in at the front office.
Afternoon Dismissal: As we enter the halfway mark in the school year, I'd like to send a few reminders about the car rider line in the afternoons. Safety is our priority!
- Be sure to have a car tag. The front office can issue you one if you've lost it.
- Parents are welcome to stand outside their vehicle in the car rider line, however please do not leave your vehicle and walk to the hallway entrance.
- No cell phone usage.
- Please do not switch lanes once you've entered one.
Crosswalk Safety: Let's keep our families safe, please follow the rules of the crosswalk.
- Pedestrians have the right-of-way, therefore, please do not rush to try and beat the families crossing.
- We have a walkway, flashing light, and guard to assist.
Our SRO as well as another Walton County Police Officer will be monitoring that area in the mornings and afternoons. Citations will be issued if cars are speeding and/or do not follow the rules of the crosswalk.

Hello! My name is Amy, and I’m excited to be joining Sharon Elementary as the school nurse. I’ve been a nurse for 15 years, with experience in a variety of areas, particularly hospice care and working with patients who have chronic diseases. These experiences have deepened my passion for providing compassionate care and making a positive impact on people's lives.
I’m married and a proud mother of four children, two of whom are already grown. All of my kids have attended Sharon Elementary for most of their elementary years. I have seen firsthand the positive impact this school has on its students. I truly appreciate how Sharon Elementary focuses on nurturing each child’s academic, emotional, and physical well-being, and I am thrilled to be part of that mission as the school nurse.
I look forward to working with you all and supporting the health and wellness of the students and staff at Sharon Elementary!
